    • Another productive performance
Cruz went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Angels.

Advice: Cruz provided the majority of Pittsburgh's offense by delivering a double with the bases loaded in the fifth inning. He's had a productive start to Pittsburgh's homestead, collecting six hits in 18 at-bats while also homering twice and driving in seven. Even more important is that he has struck out only four times in that span, a significantly decreased rate from his 34.7 percent clip this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:43 am

    • Mashes two homers in win
Ozuna went 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Ozuna jumped on a hanging four-seamer from Nick Pivetta in the bottom of the first and launched it into the stands in right field for a three-run shot to put Atlanta on the board. The veteran slugger followed up with another long ball in the third, this time a solo shot on the first pitch he saw, giving him a league-leading 12 home runs on the season. Ozuna also leads the major leagues in RBI with 38 and has now driven in at least one run in three straight games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:56 am

    • Hit hard in return
Pivetta (1-2) took the loss Wednesday against Atlanta, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out one over four innings.

Advice: Pivetta got off to a rough start, allowing back-to-back home runs with two outs in the first inning to put the Red Sox in an early 4-0 hole. The right-hander would allow another long ball in the third, the second homer from Marcell Ozuna on the night, and would make it through only four frames while surrendering a season-high five runs. The seven hits and three home runs allowed also marked season highs for the veteran. He'll look to get back on track next week when Boston takes on the Rays at home. • Continues productive stretch
Judge went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and three total RBI against Houston in a 9-4 win Wednesday.

Advice: Judge tagged Houston pitching for three extra-base hits, the first time he's accomplished that feat in a game this season. The slugger swatted a solo shot in the third inning and knocked in two more runs with a double in the sixth. Judge is coming on quickly after a slow start to the campaign -- he's in the midst of a five-game hitting streak during which he's gone 9-for-18 with two homers, four doubles, four walks, six RBI, six runs and a stolen base. • Racks up five RBI in win
Soto went 3-for-5 with a home run and five total RBI in Wednesday's 9-4 victory versus the Astros.

Advice: Soto put New York on the board in the first inning with a 440-foot two-run blast to center field. He added a run-scoring single in the second frame, an RBI groundout in the sixth and a run-scoring single in the eighth. Soto ranks second in the majors with 33 RBI on the campaign thanks largely to his nine homers and .423 batting average with runners in scoring position. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:37 am

    • LIfted in ninth inning again
Kimbrel was pulled in the ninth frame of Wednesday's game against the Nationals and was charged with two runs on two walks and a hit over two-thirds of an inning, though he was credited with a hold.

Advice: Kimbrel was called upon to protect a two-run, ninth-inning lead and initially appeared set to do so with little trouble, as he retired the first two batters he faced. However, Eddie Rosario then tagged the veteran closer for a solo home run, and Kimbrel followed with two straight walks before he was given the hook. Keegan Akin allowed one of the inherited runners to score, thus sending the game into extra frames. Though Kimbrel was credited with a hold, he was pulled in a save situation in the ninth inning for his second straight outing, so his hold on the closer role for Baltimore could be getting tenuous. Over his past five contests, Kimbrel has blown two saves in addition to being pulled from a save situation on two occasions, and he's allowed six earned runs while posting a 4:7 K:BB across 2.1 innings during that stretch. • Productive in doubleheader
Semien went a combined 6-for-10 with a solo home run and three additional runs scored in Wednesday's doubleheader split with Oakland.

Advice: Semien, who had identical 3-for-5 lines in each end of the doubleheader, homered for a second straight game in the matinee. It's been a productive two days for Semien, who had four hits and a homer Tuesday; the second baseman raised his average 38 points after going 10-for-15 over the last three games. The surge has lifted his slash line to .286/.333/.476 with seven homers, 28 RBI and 31 runs through 39 contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:00 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel blows another save against Nationals
Craig Kimbrel suffered his third blown save of the season on Wednesday night, giving up two runs on a hit and two walks while recording just two outs.

Advice: The 35-year-old right-hander has not pitched well since dealing with back soreness, and perhaps the Orioles want to consider a stint on the injured list to sit him down and get him right. Kimbrel came on with a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning of this one and got the first two hitters in order, but then served up a solo homer to Eddie Rosario and then walked a pair of batters before turning the ball over to Keegan Akin who allowed a game-tying RBI single to CJ Abrams. Kimbrel now sports an unappealing 4.73 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and a 21/9 K/BB ratio over 13 1/3 innings of work on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:41 pm

    • Ozuna crushes two more home runs
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and a walk in the victory over the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Ozuna passed Shohei Ohtani for the league lead in home runs with 12 and also leads the league in RBI with 38. He’s also hitting .315 with a 1.042 OPS. Ozuna has carried the Braves offense so far this season. It’s a scary thought that Ozuna’s numbers could be even better if some of the hitters in front of him in the lineup like Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson were playing to their typical level of production.
