    • Cody Bradford (back) moved to 60-day IL
Rangers transferred LHP Cody Bradford (back) to the 60-day IL.

Advice: The team needed space on the 40-man roster to call up Jesus Tinoco with Jon Gray (groin) going on the IL. Considering the Rangers are also expecting to get back Max Scherzer, Tyler Mahle, and Jacob deGrom at some point over the summer, Bradford may not have a spot in the rotation when he is eventually healthy enough to pitch. He can be cut in all redraft fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 8:56 am

    • Shifted to 60-day IL
The Rangers transferred Bradford (ribs) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Thursday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Jesus Tinoco, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Round Rock. Bradford recently experienced a setback with his ribs injury and now won't be eligible to return for several weeks. Rotowire.com Today, 8:31 am

    • Four hits including first homer
Arraez went 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: The 27-year-old led off the game with his first homer of the season as he produced his seventh straight multi-hit performance. Arraez has been raking since being traded to the Padres, slashing .391/.425/.478 in 73 plate appearances, and with Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) facing a lengthy absence, he should be locked in as San Diego's everyday second baseman. • Taking seat Thursday
Heim is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: The Rangers are wrapping up their series in Philadelphia with a day game after a night game, so Heim will be given a day of rest. Andrew Knizner will pick up the start at catcher. Rotowire.com Today, 7:34 am

    • Goes eight innings in no-decision
Gomber did not factor into the decision in a win over Oakland on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits while striking out six over eight innings.

Advice: Gomber went 1-2-3 through Oakland's lineup in each of the first three innings before surrendering a solo homer to JJ Bleday in the bottom of the fourth. However, that would be the only run he'd allow while going eight innings for the first time this season. The lefty induced 12 whiffs on the night and didn't walk a batter for the first time in his last four starts. It also marked Gomber's fourth consecutive quality start, and he now carries a pristine 0.68 ERA in May. Rotowire.com Today, 4:04 am
    • Austin Gomber holds A’s to one run over eight
Austin Gomber tossed eight innings of one-run ball with six strikeouts in a no-decision against the Athletics on Wednesday.

Advice: Gomber was excellent against the A’s, holding them to one run over eight innings of work. The one mistake was a solo homer by JJ Bleday in the fourth inning. Gomber scattered four more hits and struck out six batters with no walks allowed. He was saddled with a no-decision after a blown save in the ninth. The 30-year-old left-hander will take an impressive 2.76 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and a 41/17 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings into a start against the Guardians in Colorado on Monday. • Converts on sixth save
Scott earned the save Wednesday against Milwaukee, allowing one hit and no walks across a scoreless inning with one strikeout.

Advice: Scott is now 6-for-7 on save chances this season and has added four tallies in the win column. The 29-year-old has been charged with at least one earned run in just two of his 21 appearances, owning a 1.71 ERA with a 22:18 K:BB across 21.0 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:52 pm
    • Luis Arraez blasts first home run to power Padres
Luis Arraez blasted his first home run of the 2024 season on Wednesday, powering the Padres to a 7-3 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.

Advice: Arraez started off the game with a bang on Wednesday, crushing a leadoff 374-foot (96.5 mph EV) blast off of Nick Martinez to give the Padres an early 1-0 lead. He also singled in the third inning and smacked a run-scoring single off of Brent Suter in the sixth inning that extended the Padres’ lead to 7-1. He tacked on another single in the ninth inning just for good measure. With his four-hit attack, the 27-year-old is now slashing .330/.373/.408 with a homer and 11 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:54 pm

    • Tanner Scott earns save against Brewers
Tanner Scott worked a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Brewers. He allowed one hit and struck out one.

Advice: It’s comforting to see Scott get through an inning without walking a batter and this marked three out of four appearances where he hasn’t walked any. He’s thrown at least 55% fastballs in each of those four outings and that might be his adjustment to push that walk rate down. The Marlins don’t win many games, but Scott once again looks to firmly be their closer. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:52 pm
