    • Gunnar Henderson homers, steals base in win
Gunnar Henderson went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, two runs scored, and a stolen base to lead the Orioles to a 7-0 win over the A’s on Saturday.

Advice: Henderson recorded the first hit of the game for the Orioles, leading off the fourth inning with a single. He stole second and scored on a double by Anthony Santander. The 22-year-old shortstop later took JP Sears deep in the seventh inning for a two-run homer. Henderson is off to an incredible start start, hitting .302/.361/.642 with nine homers, 23 runs scored, 22 RBI, and six steals across 119 plate appearances. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Tyler Glasnow fans nine in win over Blue Jays
Tyler Glasnow allowed one run with nine strikeouts over six innings in a win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Glasnow was outstanding against the Blue Jays. He had allowed just one hit and two walks before starting the seventh inning with a walk and double that put the first run on the board for Toronto. At 95 pitches, Glasnow was visited by manager Dave Roberts and a trainer before coming out of the game. The official word from the team was he was dealing with some cramping. It doesn’t seem like something that should keep him from making his next start, currently scheduled to come next weekend against the Braves in Los Angeles. Rotoworld 42 minutes ago

    • Exits with cramps
Glasnow was removed from his start Saturday against the Blue Jays due to cramping in his right hand, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Advice: Glasnow didn't appear to be in significant pain when he was removed during the seventh inning of Saturday's contest, so his removal was likely precautionary. The Dodgers will monitor his situation, but it doesn't seem like the 30-year-old righty is at risk of missing his next start. Glasnow picked up his fifth win of the season Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over six-plus innings while striking out nine. Rotowire.com Today, 2:39 pm

    • Framber Valdez to go 70-75 pitches on Sunday
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Saturday that Framber Valdez is expected to throw around 70-75 pitches in Sunday’s start against the Rockies.

Advice: It’s no surprise that Valdez would be a bit limited in his first start back from the injured list, so fantasy managers need to be aware that he may not stick around long enough to earn a victory. That — and the high run-scoring environment in Mexico City — may mean it’s best to leave Valdez on the bench before inserting him back into lineups for next week. Rotoworld Today, 1:57 pm
    • Taken off IL
The Astros removed Valdez (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Saturday, per the MLB transaction log.

Advice: Valdez is set to start in Sunday's game against the Rockies as part of a two-game series in Mexico City. The 30-year-old southpaw landed on the Astros' 15-day IL on April 9 due to left elbow inflammation. Valdez threw a 40-pitch bullpen session Wednesday, and he will likely be on a pitch count over his first few outings. Rotowire.com Today, 11:23 am
    • Astros activate Framber Valdez for Sunday return
Astros activated LHP Framber Valdez from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: It’s merely a procedural move as Valdez was set to rejoin Houston’s starting rotation to take the ball during Sunday’s series finale in Mexico City against the Rockies. The combination of some likely have some workload restrictions and Mexico City’s extremely hitter-friendly offensive environment make him a risky proposition for fantasy managers right out of the gate. • Pops third homer
Kwan went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-2 loss to Atlanta.

Advice: He led off the game by ripping a Chris Sale sinker down the right-field line, but not much else went right for the Guardians on the night. Kwan managed only 11 homers total in his first two big-league seasons, but the 26-year-old already has three in 25 games to begin 2024. He's still making plenty of contact, too, sitting third in the AL in batting average at .343, just behind Jose Altuve (.346) and Salvador Perez (.344). Rotowire.com Today, 7:33 am

    • Ramping up at complex
Friedl (wrist) is ramping up baseball activities at the team's complex in Goodyear (Ariz.) and could begin playing games as a defensive player only this weekend, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After serving as a defensive player only, Friedl could move onto bunting in games and possibly a rehab assignment by the middle of next week. Cincinnati manager David Bell said he'll need between one and two weeks before being ready to return, noting the need to build up at-bats. Rotowire.com Today, 7:28 am

    • Goes deep in win
Carter went 2-for-3 with a home run during Friday's 2-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Carter took Graham Ashcraft deep in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1, and his fourth-inning single gave him his third multi-hit performance in his last five games. In that span, the 21-year-old outfielder is 6-for-18 with three homers and four RBI, though he has also struck out seven times. Rotowire.com Today, 6:21 am
