      Webb (3-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings to take the loss versus the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: Webb has walked multiple batters in three straight starts, but he was at least able to pitch deeper in this contest after failing to get past four innings in each of his last two outings. It's still an uncharacteristic rough patch for the Giants' ace. He's now at a 3.38 ERA, 139 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB through 53.1 innings across nine starts this season.       Logan Webb gave up three runs — two earned — while working seven innings in a loss Friday to the Reds.

      Advice: Webb was much better than his middling start Sunday against the Phillies, but unfortunately it does result in another loss for the 27-year-old. The right-hander gave up eight hits with two walks, and he struck out six. A solid effort, and it lowers his ERA to 3.38 on the season. The Dodgers come next for Webb.       Glasnow allowed a run on one hit and two walks while striking out 10 over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Friday.

      Advice: Glasnow was excellent, with the one hit against him being a Luis Campusano solo home run in the third inning. This was the fourth time this season Glasnow has struck out 10 or more batters, and it was also his fourth straight quality start. The right-hander trimmed his ERA to 2.53 with a 0.86 WHIP and a 73:15 K:BB over 57 innings across nine starts. Glasnow is dialed in, but his workload will be something to keep an eye on -- he's never pitched more than 120 innings in a season, often due to injuries.       Tyler Glasnow struck out 10 while allowing just one run in seven innings against the Padres on Friday, but he didn’t factor into the decision.

      Advice: Glasnow and King were both outstanding Friday, and both come out of the effort with hard-luck no-decisions. Glasnow allowed just one hit, but that one hit was a solo homer from Luis Campusano in the third inning. This makes back-to-back starts for Glasnow where he’s gotten double-digit strikeouts, and he improved his K/BB to 73/15 with the aforementioned punchouts and two free passes.       Valdez (2-1) earned the win Friday over the Tigers, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Valdez allowed two runs on a Matt Vierling double in the third inning before blanking Detroit over his final four frames en route to his second victory of the year. It's an encouraging bounce-back effort from Valdez, who allowed five runs in a loss to Seattle in his previous start. The left-hander lowered his ERA to 3.64 with a 1.35 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB across five starts (29.2 innings).       Framber Valdez pitched well in Friday night’s victory over the Tigers, allowing only two runs on six hits over seven frames.

      Advice: Valdez walked two and punched out four on the night. He surrendered a two-run double to Matt Vierling in the third inning, but kept the Tigers’ off the board the remainder of his night — affording his offense the opportunity to come back and earn him a win, which they finally did in the eighth inning. The 30-year-old southpaw got 10 swings and misses on 103 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 23 percent. He’ll look to replicate this fine outing as he carries a 3.64 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and a 23/9 K/BB ratio (29 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Athletics.       Sewald earned the save in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Reds, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

      Advice: After allowing a home run to Tyler Stephenson in his season debut Tuesday, Sewald looked much better in his first save chance Thursday, striking out Will Benson and Stephenson to close out the one-run victory. The 33-year-old Sewald is expected to step back in as Arizona's primary closer after missing the first month of the season with an oblique injury.       Advice: Sewald has his first save of the season after missing the first month-plus of the season with an oblique strain. The right-hander looked good while picking up the save with two strikeouts, no hits allowed and 8-of-11 offerings landing for strikes.       Guardians transferred RHP Gavin Williams to the 60-day injured list.

      Advice: Nothing has changed with Williams from a return timetable standpoint as the procedural move merely clears up a spot on Cleveland’s 40-man roster for newly-acquired reliever Darren McCaughan. The 24-year-old righty has been on the shelf since spring training due to right elbow inflammation, but was able to resume a throwing program last week following a brief setback.
