    • Kyle Schwarber (back) hoping to return on Monday
Kyle Schwarber (back) is hopeful to return to the Phillies’ starting lineup on Monday.

Advice: The 31-year-old slugger was lifted from Friday’s game due to soreness in his back and was held out on Saturday as a precautionary measure. It sounds like he’ll be sitting on Sunday as well. That will allow Bryce Harper to get a partial day off by serving as the team’s designated hitter. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:44 pm

    • Sitting Saturday, as expected
Schwarber (back) will sit for Saturday's game against the Marlins, as expected.

Advice: He left Friday's game in the ninth inning with a sore back and told reporters he'd probably take Saturday off, which is indeed the case. Cristian Pache draws the start in left field with Whit Merrifield starting at third base and Alec Bohm getting the nod at designated hitter. Schwarber's back was still a bit tight Saturday, per manager Rob Thompson, and they're taking it day by day, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:30 am

    • Kyle Schwarber (back) not in Saturday’s lineup
Kyle Schwarber (back) is absent from the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Marlins.

Advice: As expected, Schwarber will take a seat during Saturday’s showdown against the Marlins with lefty Jesús Luzardo toeing the rubber, following an early exit from Friday’s contest due to back soreness. The 31-year-old slugger might be ready to return later this weekend, but isn’t expected to require a lengthy absence. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. • Swats homer Friday
Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to Kansas City.

Advice: Adell accounted for the Angels' only run with a 436-foot solo shot to center field. That held up until the ninth inning, when the Royals scored twice off Los Angeles closer Carlos Estevez to emerge with a comeback win. Adell has put together a modest four-game hitting streak, during which he has gone 5-for-15 with two homers and three RBI. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:55 am

    • Kyle Schwarber dealing with back soreness
Kyle Schwarber is dealing with back soreness.

Advice: Schwarber was lifted for a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning of Friday’s contest against the Marlins due to a back issue and told reporters afterwards that he expects to take the day off on Saturday to rest and recover. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward, but back issues can be tricky. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:39 am

    • Stays hot Friday
Rosario went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 5-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The 32-year-old got the start in left field and continued a sudden hot streak that has seen Rosario rack up eight hits in the last five games with two homers, three steals, four RBI and eight runs. That surge comes on the heels of an 0-for-27 slump, though, and on the season he has a .159/.219/.295 slash line. Rosario still has a big hole to climb out of, and with Victor Robles healthy again, the competition for outfield/DH at-bats with the Nats has gotten even more crowded. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:16 am
    • Dealing with back soreness
Schwarber left in the ninth inning of Friday's 8-2 win over the Marlins due to a sore back, per MLB.com.

Advice: Schwarber's back tightened on his last swing in the seventh inning, and Kody Clemens came in to pinch hit in the ninth frame. Schwarber noted that he'll "probably take [Saturday] off... hopefully I'll wake up [Saturday] feeling better, and we'll keep going." The 31-year-old went 2-for-5 with a two-run single in Friday's win. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:15 am

    • Jo Adell connects on solo homer in loss to Royals
Jo Adell hit a solo homer in a loss Friday to the Angels.

Advice: Adell’s solo shot off Alec Marsh was the only run for the Angels on the night. It looked like it was going to be enough to give the team a win, but Carlos Estévez blew a save to keep that from happening. Adell is now slugging .529 with six homers, and he’s showing — in spurts — the talent that made him one of the very best prospects in all of baseball not that long ago. • Goes deep Wednesday
Adell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a additional RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 victory versus the Pirates.

Advice: Adell put the Angels on the board with a solo shot to center field in the third inning, and he added a run-scoring single in the fifth. He finished with his first multi-hit game since April 27. With Mike Trout set to miss extended time due to knee surgery, Adell has become a near-everyday starter in the outfield. However, he's struggled so far this month, slashing .125/.185/.250 with seven strikeouts over seven games, though he does have three RBI and a pair of steals. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:05 pm
