    • Trea Turner ā€˜pulled backā€™ on rehab due to soreness
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters that Trea Turner (hamstring) is dealing with soreness and heā€™ll be ā€œpulled backā€ on his rehab.

Advice: ā€œHow long, I donā€™t know,ā€ Thomson said. ā€œIā€™m not really concerned at this point.ā€ Turner is working his way back from his left hamstring strain, and he ran at a higher intensity Saturday as he attempts to make a quicker return than anticipated. Itā€™s concerning to see, but itā€™s also possible this is just precautionary. A rehab assignment will assuredly be needed before he can return. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:15 am

    • Trea Turner runs at higher intensity on Saturday
Trea Turner (hamstring) was able to run at a higher intensity on Saturday as he continues to work his way back from a left hamstring strain.

Advice: If he feels alright on Sunday, he could soon progress to actually running on the bases. Heā€™ll still need to take swings against live pitching and play in at least some simulated games before heā€™ll be ready to rejoin the Philliesā€™ lineup, but he continues to make much quicker progress than originally anticipated. • Runs at higher intensity Saturday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Turner (hamstring) ran at a higher intensity Saturday, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Turner could progress to running the bases as soon as the Phillies' series in San Francisco against the Giants which begins Monday. He will need to complete that step and also see live pitching before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment, but rehab games wouldn't seem to be too terribly far off if he continues moving in the right direction. Advice: Rengifo opened the scoring by popping a 413-foot solo shot in the bottom of the first. The switch-hitting Angel has been hot since returning from an illness May 17, hitting .300 (9-for-30) with two homers, three steals, four runs scored and five RBI. • Luis Rengifo doubles and homers in loss to CLE
Luis Rengifo doubled and homered in a loss Friday to the Angels.

Advice: Rengifo also singled. The 27-year-old took Logan Allen deep in the first inning, and the three-reach game now has his slash looking healthy at .322/.374/.504. Rengifo has been up-and-down for the majority of his MLB career. Right now heā€™s on the right side of that. Thereā€™s reason to believe it wonā€™t last for much longer, respectfully. • Trea Turner (hamstring) hits in cage on Friday
Trea Turner (hamstring) hit in the batting cage, took ground balls and did some short sprints on the field on Friday without any issues.

Advice: Heā€™s scheduled to face live pitching on Saturday and do some more intense running to test out his injured hamstring. He appears to be making quicker progress in his recovery than his initial timeline and is inching closer to a minor league rehab assignment. Rotoworld Friday, 5:56 pm

    • Three RBI in loss
Rengifo went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Rengifo got the Angels on the board quickly with a two-run blast off Christian Javier in the opening frame. He later plated a third run in the fourth on a base knock. He's now tallied at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, which includes 13 hits and a .371 average over his last eight games. He's regularly been hitting first or second since coming back from the injured list last week and is now slashing ,316/.366/.474 with three homers, 15 RBI, 16 runs and an 8:18 BB:K in 124 plate appearances.
