Dunning didn't factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk across five innings against the Rangers. He struck out four

Advice: Dunning couldn't keep the ball in the yard, yielding a two-run home run to Zach McKinstry in the second inning and a solo homer to Riley Greene in the fifth inning as the only three runs attributed to Dunning. The 29-year-old hasn't completed six innings since his second start of the campaign and owns a 4.09 ERA across 50.2 innings on the year. He's tentatively scheduled for a road matchup with the Dodgers next Wednesday. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

    • Snares another win
Burnes (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday against Toronto, allowing one run on four hits and one walk across seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The lone run against Burnes came on a George Springer solo homer in the seventh frame. Burnes hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start this season and has logged eight straight quality starts. On the year, Burnes owns a 2.25 ERA with 76 strikeouts across 79.2 innings and is tied for the league lead in quality starts. Burnes is scheduled for a road start against the Rays on Sunday. • Imanaga allows one run as Cubs down White Sox
Shota Imanaga allowed one earned run in 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Imanaga, who didn’t earn a decision in this one, allowed just two base runners through his first three innings but ran into trouble in the fourth after back-to-back singles by Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr. kickstarted what turned into a five-run inning for the White Sox. Imanaga was charged with just one earned run on the night, but the White Sox did their part to get to him early. A double by Korey Lee would put the White Sox up 3-0, but Lenyn Sosa’s two-run homer just a few batters later quickly pushed that lead to 5-0. Imanaga would be pulled with one out in the fifth inning after a rain delay and is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Reds. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Frankie Montas limits Rockies to one hit in win
Frankie Montas allowed only one hit over seven innings and struck out nine Tuesday in the Reds’ 4-1 defeat of the Rockies.

Advice: The seven innings and nine strikeouts were both season highs for Montas, who lowered his ERA from 4.60 to 4.00 in earning his first win since Apr. 3. A victory against the Rockies isn’t enough to warrant a mixed-league pickup, but it was encouraging to see Montas’s velocity up a bit tonight. He generated 20 missed swings on his 96 pitches. • Ty Blach gives up four runs in loss to Reds
Ty Blach surrendered four runs and 10 hits in five innings Tuesday in a loss to the Reds,

Advice: Blach has performed well in three of his six starts for Colorado, so that’s still a passing grade for a Rockies pitcher. He’ll take a 2-3 record and a 4.54 ERA into his next start versus the Cardinals. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Flexen’s solid outing spoiled by bullpen in loss
Chris Flexen allowed one earned run and three hits over five innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Flexen left the game with a 5-1 lead, which the White Sox’s bullpen gave away as part of a four-run sixth inning. It’s a tough break for Flexen, who had one of his better starts of the season on the road at Wrigley. Flexen has allowed just three earned runs in his last 10 innings pitched but benefitted from back-to-back starts against the Blue Jays and Cubs. After being robbed of a win in this one, Flexen will look to earn his third win of the season in his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Red Sox. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Dunning allows three earned runs in loss to Tigers
Dane Dunning allowed three earned runs over five innings while striking out four in Tuesday’s loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Dunning allowed just five baserunners on the evening, but home runs to Zach McKinstry and Riley Green did enough damage to saddle him with the loss. Dunning didn’t get any run support in this one, as Tigers starter Jack Flaherty allowed just two hits in five innings of work to keep the Tigers in front throughout the evening. Dunning’s next start is scheduled for Tuesday, on the road against the Dodgers. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

    • Exits early Tuesday
Flaherty was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rangers due to back tightness, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Flaherty had cruised through five shutout innings and thrown just 60 pitches before being suddenly pulled from the game. Manager A.J. Hinch said after the contest that the team still does not know the severity of the right-hander's injury, but the Tigers will presumably continue to run tests on his back and have an update on his status within the next couple of days. • Jack Flaherty left start due to back tightness
Jack Flaherty was removed from Tuesday’s start against the Rangers due to back tightness.

Advice: Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters afterwards that he didn’t know the severity of the issue, but back injuries can be extremely complicated matters. The 28-year-old righty has been outstanding this season in his Tigers debut and was lifted from Tuesday’s outing against the Rangers after striking out four over five scoreless frames. There should be an update on his status in the coming days, but it’s possible Flaherty will wind up requiring a trip to the injured list. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago
