    • Homers in three-hit game
Pillar went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Pillar has hit safely in his last 11 games, going 20-for-41 (.488) in that span. He's logged a trio of three-hit efforts during the streak. The outfielder is up to a .349/.402/.639 slash line with six homers, 24 RBI, 14 runs scored, six stolen bases, four doubles and a triple over 34 contests this season. He struggled initially with the White Sox, but he's been excellent since joining the Angels at the end of April. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm

    • Kevin Pillar goes 3-for-4, homers to propel Angels
Kevin Pillar went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer Tuesday in leading the Angels to a 4-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: The White Sox releasing Pillar after a 4-for-25 start, only to watch him hit .431/.459/.759 with five homers in his first 17 games for the Angels, is undeniably the funniest thing to happen in 2024. There’s no reason to expect Pillar to keep this up — and we still wouldn’t recommend him in mixed leagues — but it’d be hilarious if he somehow pulled off a career year at age 35. • Fills stat sheet in win
Fry went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Fry has a pair of three-hits games over his last nine contests, going 13-for-26 (.500) with four homers, three steals and 11 RBI in that span. The utility man is on another level lately, though he's been strong throughout the campaign with a .357/.492/.622 slash line, seven homers, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored and four steals over 128 plate appearances. He's started three straight games in left field, but that avenue into the lineup will close when Steven Kwan (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Fry could compete for playing time with Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter or Bo Naylor at catcher given both of those players' struggles at the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm

    • David Fry goes 3-for-3, hits three-run homer
David Fry went 3-for-3 and hit a three-run homer Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: Fry wasn’t expected to make the Guardians out of spring training and then wasn’t slated to play against righties once he did make the team, but all he’s done so far is hit .357/.492/.622 with seven homers and four steals in 128 plate appearances. The exit velocity numbers don’t back up anything close to this level of performance, but he’ll probably remain pretty solid and he has catcher eligibility. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 pm

    • Collects three hits, stolen base
Young went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and one RBI in Monday's 8-4 victory over Atlanta.

Advice: Young hit three singles and added his 12th RBI of the season in the sixth inning. Most importantly to fantasy owners, the Washington center fielder swiped his 16th base, moving him into a tie for fourth place in the majors. Overall, Young sports a .275/.329/.328 slash line in 146 plate appearances with 23 runs scored. He should continue to play full time despite Lane Thomas (knee) returning Monday, as the Nationals designated Victor Robles for assignment to open a roster spot for Thomas. • Three hits in Sunday's win
Kelenic went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder started the day on the bench with southpaw Martin Perez pitching for Pittsburgh, but he was pressed into duty when Ronald Acuna (knee) went down and scored multiple runs in a game for the first time in 2024. Kelenic has only five plate appearances against lefties so far this year, and his third-inning single off Perez was his first hit against one, but with Acuna now lost for the season, Atlanta may not be able to limit Kelenic to a strict platoon role. • Goes deep in win
Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Cowser had gone 1-for-18 over the previous six games, though he's maintained a starting role in the Orioles' lineup despite the slump. The outfielder burst onto the scene early in the season, but he's batting a poor .185 (12-for-65) with five extra-base hits and six RBI over 21 contests in May. Cowser is up to seven homers, 24 RBI, 17 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .248/.341/.475 slash line through 164 plate appearances. His strikeout rate has also ticked up to 30.5 percent, which makes it tough for him to get back on track. If Cowser's struggles worsen, Kyle Stowers or Austin Hays could be candidates to see more playing time. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:03 pm

    • Jarred Kelenic with three hits off the bench
Jarred Kelenic went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored off the bench on Sunday in a win over the Pirates.

Advice: Kelenic came in for the injured Ronald Acuña Jr. on Sunday and delivered three hits on three hard-hit balls in the middle of multiple Braves’ rallies. Logic would tell us he has the most to gain from a serious injury to Acuña, but Atlanta has been unwilling to give him playing time against left-handed pitching. He did manage an infield single in this one off Martín Pérez, but has three strikeouts in his four other at-bats off lefties so far this season. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:30 pm

    • Resting Sunday
Young is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Seattle, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Young will get a break after starting the last seven games at center field while going 6-for-23 with three RBI. With Young and Jesse Winker (quadricep) on the bench, Ildemaro Vargas, Victor Robles and Eddie Rosario will form the Washington outfield from left to right. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:47 am
