    • Swats homer Sunday
Judge went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Sunday's 5-2 victory versus Detroit.

Advice: A day after he was ejected from a game for the first time in his career, Judge belted a solo shot off Tarik Skubal in his first at-bat of the contest. The slugger added a sixth-inning double to notch just his second game with multiple extra-base hits this season. Judge is still slashing a meager .220/.350/.439 on the campaign, but he's batting .355 with three of his seven homers and seven of his 20 RBI over his past nine games. Rotowire.com Today, 8:22 am

    • MLB updates ruling Friday
MLB changed the official scoring on a play during Friday's game, which left Houck charged with three earned runs over six-plus innings, not four, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: A fielder's choice in the seventh inning was updated to a throwing error by catcher Reese McGuire. The ruling drops Houck's season ERA to 1.99 and gives him a sixth quality start. Rotowire.com Today, 6:21 am

    • Handles Giants for win No. 2
Walker (2-0) earned the win over the Giants on Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven over 6.1 innings.

Advice: The Giants got to Walker in the opening frame with a run, but he was able to silence them the rest of the way until Thairo Estrada crushed a two-run blast in the seventh to make it a 5-3 ballgame and end Walker's night. Walker has now carried strong outings into the seventh in back-to-back starts to open up the season but hasn't quite been able to seal the deal. He has a 3.00 ERA through innings 1-6 and a 67.50 ERA in the seventh frame. His spot in the rotation is secure after the Phillies announced Spencer Turnbull would be operating as a bulk relief option moving forward. Walker owns a 6.39 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB in 12.2 innings and lines up to face the Marlins on the road his next time out. Rotowire.com Today, 4:12 am
    • Taijuan Walker posts quality start in win Sunday
Taijuan Walker posted a quality start in Sunday night’s victory over the Giants, surrendering three runs on five hits across 6 1/3 strong innings of work.

Advice: Walker racked up seven strikeouts on the evening while issuing just one free pass. The Giants scratched out a run in the opening inning on an RBI double by Michael Conforto, then Walker shut them down completely until Thairo Estrada connected on a two-run blast in the seventh. The 31-year-old hurler got just six swings and misses on 90 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 30 percent. Now 2-0 on the season, he’ll carry a 6.39 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and an 11/3 K/BB ratio (12 2/3 innings) into next weekend’s tilt against the Marlins in Miami. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm
    • Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to injured list
Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports that the Guardians plan to place Steven Kwan (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list prior to Monday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Top prospect Kyle Manzardo will be promoted from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to replace him on the active roster. Kwan exited Saturday’s game against the Angels with tightness in his left hamstring and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the issue. The result of that exam is not yet known, so it’s hard to speculate just how much time the 26-year-old outfielder may stand to miss. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm

    • Bounces back with W
Carrasco (2-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over six innings against the Angels. He struck out three.

Advice: Carrasco got back on track with his first quality start of 2024, rebounding from a pair of poor starts in which he combined for 13 earned runs over nine innings. If you erase Carrasco's two-start hiccup, he owns a 2.92 era over 24.2 innings with a 19:14 K:BB. He's lined up for a start against the White Sox, who've won five of their last nine games and are averaging 4.9 runs per game in that stretch, on Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:03 pm
    • Aaron Judge leaves the yard in win on Sunday
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 and launched his seventh home run of the season on Sunday as the Yankees defeated the Tigers.

Advice: Judge opened the scoring in the contest, crushing a 399-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Tigers’ star southpaw Tarik Skubal in the home half of the first inning. He also doubled, drew a walk and struck out in the ballgame. On the season, the 32-year-old superstar is now hitting .220/.350/.439 with seven homers, 20 RBI and two stolen bases. • Move to IL coming
The Guardians are expected to place Kwan (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Monday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old left Saturday's 7-1 win over the Angels due to left hamstring tightness and will now be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. The results of Kwan's MRI aren't yet known, so it's unclear if he'll be ready to return from the IL when first eligible. The Guardians plan to call up top prospect Kyle Manzardo from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move, and Manzardo should be headed for an everyday role in Kwan's absence. • Carlos Carrasco strong for six in downing Angels
Carlos Carrasco limited the Angels to one run in six innings as the Guardians prevailed 4-1 on Sunday.

Advice: Carrasco picked up his second win while lasting six innings for the first time in seven starts this season. He has a 5.67 ERA and a poor 26/17 K/BB ratio through 33 1/3 innings. Next up for him is a start in Chicago against the White Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:21 pm
