    • Trevor Larnach out of lineup Saturday vs. Boston
Trevor Larnach is not in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Red Sox.

Advice: The Twins are stacking their lineup with right-handed bats against left-hander Brennan Bernardino with seven hitters who will hit from the right-side. Ryan Jeffers will hit leadoff as the designated hitter, and Christian Vazquez will handle catching duties while hitting seventh. Rotoworld Today, 7:21 am

    • Jordan Hicks walks four in loss to Phillies
Jordan Hicks gave up four runs — two earned — and walked four in four innings Friday in a loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Improved control has been a big key for Hicks in his successful run in the Giants rotation, but this is the second time in his last three starts that he’s walked four batters, giving him14 walks in 38 innings for the year. The loss tonight was his first, and he still has a nice 1.89 ERA for the season. Still, he doesn’t seem like a great mixed-league option from here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:45 pm
    • Stuck with first loss
Hicks (2-1) took the loss Friday against the Phillies, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The Phillies scored three times off Hicks in the third inning before tacking on another run in the fourth, handing the right-hander his first loss of the year. While the four runs against Hicks were a season high, he's still yet to allow more than two earned runs through seven starts. Hicks still sports a stellar 1.89 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 38 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Colorado. • Anthony Rizzo delivers walk-off winner on Friday
Anthony Rizzo smacked an RBI single off of Jason Foley in the ninth inning on Friday night, propelling the Yankees to a 2-1 walk-off victory over the Tigers.

Advice: The Yankees had come up empty through eight innings against Reese Olson and a host of Tigers’ relievers. They finally got the bats going in the ninth though, as Aaron Judge singled, Alex Verdugo dropped down a bunt single and Giancarlo Stanton smacked an RBI double to start the inning. Rizzo then followed by poking a ball through the drawn in infield to walk it off. The 34-year-old slugger finished the night 1-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .256/.324/.403 with five homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm

    • Aaron Judge starts key rally against Tigers
Aaron Judge went singled, walked, stole a base and scored a run as the Yankees rallied to beat the Tigers in the ninth inning on Friday night in the Bronx.

Advice: Judge drew a two-out walk in the opening inning and swiped second base, but wound up being stranded there. He then started a key rally in the ninth inning with a leadoff single off of Tigers’ closer Jason Foley then came around to score the tying run on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton. With the 1-for-3 night, the 32-year-old superstar is now hitting .200/.336/.392 with six homers, 18 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm

    • Throws BP session
Kershaw (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Kershaw has been limited to throwing from flat ground, and Friday was the first time he's thrown off the mound since undergoing offseason shoulder surgery. The veteran southpaw threw 15 pitches ahead of Friday's game against Atlanta, and manager Dave Roberts said Kershaw "came out well" from the bullpen session, per J.P. Hoornstra of Dodgers Nation. Kershaw is not expected to return until after the All-Star break, but it's another positive step in his rehab program. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:25 pm

    • Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) throws first bullpen
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) threw his first bullpen session on Friday since undergoing surgery on his left shoulder.

Advice: The 36-year-old southpaw looks to be right on schedule in his recovery. The Dodgers have yet to give any sort of concrete timeline on when they anticipate him being ready to join the rotation, though the early estimates were at some point around the All-Star break. As long as he continues to progress, there’s no reason to doubt that timeline. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:24 pm

    • Mike Trout undergoes successful knee surgery
Mike Trout underwent successful surgery on Friday to repair the meniscus tear in his left knee.

Advice: Officially, Trout underwent a partial medial meniscectomy. While there’s still no official timetable for his return, the Angels remain optimistic that he’ll be able to return to the lineup at some point during the 2024 season. Unfortunately, that leaves fantasy managers in leagues without injured list spots having to carry a zero on the bench for an indefinite amount of time, or risk the pain of throwing him back into the free agent pool and not being able to reacquire him when/if he does return. • Sitting Friday
Heim is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Kansas City.

Advice: Heim started the previous six games and will receive a day off after going 4-for-19 with no extra-base hits during that span. Andrew Knizner will step in behind the plate to catch Michael Lorenzen. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:31 pm
