      Advice: Boston pushed across a run in the top of the first inning, but Lopez slammed the door shut after that, generating 19 swinging strikes among his 99 pitches as he tied his season high in Ks. The quality start was the third of the season for the right-hander, and Lopez will take a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners.       Nico Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base in a 6-5 win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Hoerner put the Cubs on the board right away, taking Tobias Myers deep for a solo homer to lead off the first inning, his first homer of the season. He added a base hit to lead off the seventh, then stole second for his fifth steal of the season. The 26-year-old second baseman is heating up at the plate, with multiple hits in three of his last four games.       Pablo López delivered a dominant performance in Saturday afternoon’s victory over the Red Sox, piling up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

      Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits and one walk on the afternoon.       Advice: Seager delivered the Rangers' lone run with a single in the third inning. He's been mired in a slump and entered Friday's game batting .073 (3-for-41) with two RBI over the previous 11 games. Rangers general manager Chris Young took the long view when speaking with Kenndi Landry of MLB.com, indicating the club expected Seager to need some time to get going after undergoing hernia surgery in January.
