    • Ronald Acuña Jr. stays hot in loss to Dodgers
Ronald Acuña Jr. went 3-for-4 with a run scored on Saturday in the Braves’ loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: There weren’t a ton of positive takeaways for Atlanta in this one, but Acuña continues to perform well with a pair of multi-hit performances in the series. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar is starting to pick things up at the dish after a frosty start to the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:57 pm
    • Sharp in win over BoSox
Lopez (3-2) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 3-1 victory over the Red Sox. He struck out eight.

Advice: Boston pushed across a run in the top of the first inning, but Lopez slammed the door shut after that, generating 19 swinging strikes among his 99 pitches as he tied his season high in Ks. The quality start was the third of the season for the right-hander, and Lopez will take a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners. • Nico Hoerner homers, steals base in win Saturday
Nico Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base in a 6-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Hoerner put the Cubs on the board right away, taking Tobias Myers deep for a solo homer to lead off the first inning, his first homer of the season. He added a base hit to lead off the seventh, then stole second for his fifth steal of the season. The 26-year-old second baseman is heating up at the plate, with multiple hits in three of his last four games. Hoerner is slashing .286/.364/.397 with 20 runs scored and eight RBI across 143 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:02 pm

    • Pablo López fans eight in victory over Red Sox
Pablo López delivered a dominant performance in Saturday afternoon’s victory over the Red Sox, piling up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits and one walk on the afternoon. The lone tally against him came as Tyler O’Neill smacked a two-out double in the opening inning and Wilyer Abreu followed with a run-scoring single. Aside from that, he was in complete control. López got 19 swings and misses on 99 pitches on the afternoon — 11 of those on his fastball — while posting a strong CSW of 31 percent. Now 3-2 on the season, he’ll carry a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 45/8 K/BB ratio (37 2/3 innings) into Thursday’s showdown against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:52 pm

    • Idle against lefty
Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: The left-handed Naylor will take a seat as fellow left-hander Reid Detmers starts on the hill for Los Angeles. David Fry will take over at first base and bat fourth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm

    • Lands on 15-day IL
Atlanta placed Johnson (elbow) on the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: Johnson has served one of the top right-handed setup man for Atlanta this season. He did not allow a run over his last seven appearances and did not give up a hit over his last five. Johnson has a 3.00 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB over 12 innings this season and Atlanta will likely have to lean more on right-hander Joe Jimenez for high-leverage spots while Johnson is on the shelf. To make room on the 40-man roster, Atlanta transferred left-hander Angel Perdomo to the 60-day injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 am
    • Pierce Johnson heads to IL with elbow inflammation
Atlanta placed RHP Pierce Johnson on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation.

Advice: Johnson has been an effective member of the Atlanta bullpen with a 3.00 ERA over 13 appearances in 16 innings. The right-hander will miss at least two weeks while recovering, but there’s no firm timetable as to when the 32-year-old will be back in action. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:19 am
    • Spencer Torkelson moves down to seventh spot
Spencer Torkelson is hitting seventh and playing first base against the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Torkelson continues to move down in the lineup, and it’s easy to justify with a slash of .212/.282/.288 over 132 plate appearances. The first-overall pick in 2020 was excellent in the second-half of the 2023 campaign, but that hasn’t carried over whatsoever in 2024. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues should be searching for a potential replacement if they haven’t cut bait already. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:34 am
    • Fighting slump
Seager went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 7-1 loss to Kansas City.

Advice: Seager delivered the Rangers' lone run with a single in the third inning. He's been mired in a slump and entered Friday's game batting .073 (3-for-41) with two RBI over the previous 11 games. Rangers general manager Chris Young took the long view when speaking with Kenndi Landry of MLB.com, indicating the club expected Seager to need some time to get going after undergoing hernia surgery in January. Young also feels there has been some bad luck, which speaks to the shortstop's .269 BABIP. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:57 am
