      Eloy Jiménez belted a go-ahead solo homer in the seventh inning on Sunday, helping to power the White Sox to victory over the Cardinals.

      Advice: The 27-year-old slugger led off the seventh inning with his 411-foot (105.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Giovanny Gallegos — giving the White Sox a 2-1 advantage.       David Bednar tossed a scoreless ninth for his sixth save Sunday against the Rockies.

    • Roberts hopeful for minimum IL stint for Phillips
      Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Sunday that the team is hopeful that Evan Phillips (hamstring) will only have a minimum stay on the injured list.

      Advice: Phillips was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and placed on the injured list before Sunday’s game against Atlanta. The right-hander will miss at least two weeks, but it doesn’t sound like a (relatively) long-term injury for the 29-year-old closer.       Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) was able to throw off flat ground Sunday.

      Advice: Orioles pitching coach Drew French told reporters that Rodriguez threw from 60-75 foot away and that it was a “good day” for him. The right-hander has been on the shelf since May 1 with shoulder inflammation, and while there’s no timetable for his return, it’s certainly a positive development that he’s able to throw a few days later.       The Dodgers placed Phillips on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right hamstring strain, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

      Advice: The right-hander presumably suffered the injury during Friday's appearance against Atlanta, when he struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning amid a 2-2 tie. Manager Dave Roberts said Phillips' injury is a Grade 1 strain, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, so the absence may not be a lengthy one.       Advice: This is a substantial loss to the Dodgers’ bullpen and for fantasy managers who roster Phillips. The right-hander will be out of action for at least two weeks, and managers will want to make sure to follow for further updates on his status.       Bednar (2-2) didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win Saturday against the Rockies.

      Advice: Bednar entered in the ninth inning of a scoreless game and held the Rockies in check. It was a needed positive outing, as he entered Saturday having given up runs in each of his last three appearances.       Suarez (6-0) collected the win Saturday versus the Giants, permitting three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: There was a rain delay before the game and more inclement weather during the contest, but Suarez seemed undaunted as he became the first six-game winner in baseball (Tyler Glasnow joined him later Saturday). It speaks to how well Suarez has pitched this season that this was easily his worst start since his first outing of the season when he allowed three runs in five innings. The three runs the left-hander gave up Saturday matched his total from his previous five starts. With a matchup versus the Marlins looming next week, Suarez has a good chance to keep rolling.
