Seaver went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 7-4 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Seager took advantage of the Globe Life Field roof being open, swatting a solo home run off Ben Lively in the third inning. The shortstop has hit three home runs in his last eight games and is batting .267 with six RBI and an 11.4 percent K rate during that stretch. Rotowire.com 43 minutes ago

    • J.P. Crawford (oblique) starts rehab assignment
J.P. Crawford (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Crawford was expected to kick off a rehab assignment this week as he works his way back from a right oblique strain. The hope is that he’ll be ready to return to Seattle’s lineup at some point later this week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:48 pm

    • Nico Hoerner scratched with hamstring tightness
Nico Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary measure since Hoerner was in Chicago’s original lineup, but it’s a situation fantasy managers should keep a close eye on moving forward. The 27-year-old middle infielder should be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:24 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against Atlanta due to left hamstring tightness, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Hoerner was originally slated to bat leadoff for Chicago in Game 2 of its series in Atlanta, but he will now be forced to take a seat. More information on his injury will likely be provided following the contest, but in the meantime, Miles Mastrobuoni will take over at shortstop and bat eighth against Atlanta. • Set for rehab assignment
Crawford (oblique) was active for the Mariners' batting practice Monday and will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Advice: Crawford has been on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 right oblique strain since April 25, but he appears to be on the cusp of returning to the big-league roster. He'll likely need to participate in multiple contests during his rehab assignment in Triple-A before being activated and could join the team in Baltimore ahead of its three-game series with the Orioles beginning Friday. • J.P. Crawford to begin rehab assignment
J.P. Crawford is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Tacoma this week.

Advice: Crawford has missed three weeks due to an oblique strain, but he’s getting closer to a return. Dylan Moore has been surprisingly good in his place at shortstop, but he’ll go back into a utility role once Crawford is ready. Rotoworld Monday, 3:41 pm

    • Goes deep in loss
Hoerner went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run, an additional run scored and two total RBI in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Hoerner took rookie Paul Skenes deep in the fourth inning for just his second long ball of the season. He drove in another run an inning later when he walked with the bases loaded. The low power output isn't too surprising, as Hoerner had only nine home runs last year and just 10 in 2022. The shortstop has still been productive in May with a .300 batting average and .941 OPS for the month along with both homers and three stolen bases. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:35 am

    • Another encouraging step Friday
Crawford (oblique) put in a full pregame workout before the Mariners' series opener against the Athletics on Friday, making throws on groundballs and taking batting practice on the field, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Not only is the boost in activity level encouraging, but Crawford confirmed after his workout that he's back to full strength. However, the veteran shortstop also conceded he needed to get his timing at the plate back, making it likely he goes on a rehab assignment of no more than two games before potentially being activated. • Nico Hoerner clubs solo homer in loss to Pirates
Nico Hoerner clubbed his second home run of the season on Saturday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Cubs past the Pirates in a wild one at PNC Park.

Advice: Hoerner tagged Pirates’ phenom Paul Skenes for his 380-foot (99.5 mph EV) wall-scraping solo shot to get the Cubs on the board in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old infielder also drew the first of the Cubs’ six bases-loaded walks in the fifth inning. That’s right, six bases-loaded walks in the fifth inning. He finished the day 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored and is now hitting .272/.351/.397 with two homers, 12 RBI and four stolen bases. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:44 pm
