    • Yandy Diaz moves down to second spot vs. A’s
Yandy Diaz is hitting second and playing first base versus the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Diaz has 231 plate appearances thus far in 2024, and 223 of those have come in the leadoff spot. He’s hit just .254 with a .686 from that spot, however, so Tampa Bay will move the 32-year-old down a spot in the lineup. Richie Palacios is leading off and playing right field against Mitch Spence and the A’s on Tuesday. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

    • Michael Harris heading leadoff for Atlanta vs. WSH
Michael Harris II is hitting leadoff against the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Harris will get the first crack at the leadoff spot with Ronald Acuña Jr. now out for the season with his torn ACL. With Harris in the leadoff spot, he has the chance to be driven in by Austin Riley, Matt Olson and a plethora of other quality hitters in the Atlanta lineup. There’s a lot to like about this situation, outside of the bummer that is the Acuña Jr. injury. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago
    • Swipes bag in loss
Harris went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Batting seventh in an Atlanta lineup that got juggled around in the wake of a season-ending knee injury to Ronald Acuna, Harris reached base twice for the fourth time in the last six games. The 23-year-old center fielder is still looking to regain his usual form, but he's showing signs of heating up -- over his last 16 contests, he's slashing .290/.333/.403 with two of his five homers and three of his eight steals on the year. • Moving rehab to Triple-A
Kwan (hamstring) will have his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Columbus beginning Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kwan went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk over two games with High-A Lake County over the weekend. The outfielder is expected to play six-to-eight innings in left field Tuesday. He may stay with Columbus for the remainder of the Guardians' road trip, which makes it possible Kwan could be ready to return to the majors by Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:57 pm

    • Jeremy Peña fans four times in loss
Jeremy Peña struck out all four times he was up Monday in the loss to the Mariners.

Advice: That’s as many strikeouts as he totaled in his previous eight games. Peña is having a great season, but this was not his night. We’d still say it’s past time for the Astros to start batting him ahead of Alex Bregman in the order. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:31 pm

    • Steven Kwan will start in Triple-A on Tuesday
According to Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, Steven Kwan will start in left field for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Advice: Vogt said the plan is for Kwan to play 6-8 innings in the field. If Kwan were to do that and come out feeling good, he might only need one or two more starts before the Guardians feel good about activating him from the IL. That could mean that Jonathan Rodriguez heads back to Triple-A. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:00 pm

    • Andrew Vaughn hitting clean-up on Monday
Andrew Vaughn will bat clean-up for the White Sox on Monday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Vaughn has moved all around the lineup but has usually hit second or third in the order. With both Luis Robert Jr. and Eloy Jimenez out, the White Sox are looking for anybody to fill the middle of the order. While Vaughn’s average hasn’t been great this year, he does have four home runs and a .400 slugging percentage in May which is an upgrade from April where he had no home runs and just a .238 slugging percentage. Obviously, there’s still a long way to go, but it’s nice to see Vaughn taking slow steps in the right direction. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:26 am
    • Throws seven high-quality innings
Webb did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run (none earned) on three hits and a walk over seven innings against the Mets. He struck out eight.

Advice: The lone unearned run Webb allowed was set up by his own error, but he was lights-out otherwise with a season-high eight strikeouts and left the game in line for the win. The outing dropped Webb's ERA to 2.74 with a 1.26 WHIP across 72.1 innings. His next scheduled start is slated for next weekend when the Giants host the Yankees. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:29 pm

    • Ha-Seong Kim leads Padres past Yankees on Sunday
Ha-Seong Kim went 2-for-3 with a walk, run scored and an RBI on Sunday afternoon, leading the Padres to a 5-2 victory over the visiting Yankees.

Advice: Kim drove in the go-ahead run with a bunt single off of Victor Gonzalez in the seventh inning, then came around to score on an infield single off the bat of Fernando Tatis Jr. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 28-year-old infielder is now hitting .216/.333/.362 with six homers, 23 RBI and 13 stolen bases on the season.
