    • Remains out Tuesday
Riley (side) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Atlanta received good news when an MRI revealed merely inflammation in Riley's left side rather than a strain. However, he is likely still sore and will miss a second straight start. With a scheduled off day coming Thursday, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Atlanta hold Riley out until Friday just to be safe. Zack Short is getting another start at third base Tuesday. • Escapes with no-decision
Yamamoto allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: The Giants took an early lead with Luis Matos' three-run home run in the second inning, and Heliot Ramos added an RBI single in the sixth, which ended Yamamoto's start. This ended Yamamoto's run of four straight quality starts. The right-hander has four scoreless outings on his ledger, but he's also given up three or more runs four times in nine starts. He's at a strong 3.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 53:10 K:BB over 47.2 innings this season. Yamamoto is projected to make his next start at home versus the Reds. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:37 pm
    • Clubs homer Monday
Profar went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Profar has hit safely in eight of 11 games in May, going 13-for-40 (.325) with three homers and 10 RBI this month. The 31-year-old is slashing .320/.402/.517 with seven long balls, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 44 contests. Profar's best season in the majors was the abbreviated 2020 campaign, and he hit just nine homers with 46 RBI over 125 games last year -- he'll likely post stronger marks in 2024, but his current pace will be tough to sustain. • Semien picks up double Monday
Marcus Semien went 1-for-4 with a double as the Rangers were shutout in the loss to the Guardians on Monday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Rangers offense. While it was ruled a double, Semien’s hit was definitely misplayed by Guardians outfielder Estevan Florial. Semien’s hitting .284 this season and continues to hit leadoff and play everyday for one of the best lineups in all of baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:51 pm

    • Collects first save
Minter worked around a hit and walk allowed to pick up the save Monday against the Cubs. He pitched a scoreless inning with no strikeouts.

Advice: For the second straight night, Minter received the call for the save but was able to escape Monday unlike Sunday evening. Minter allowed Cody Bellinger to reach via an infield single and walked Christopher Morel before securing three outs to finish the game. Raisel Iglesias, who threw 48 pitches over back-to-back outings on Thursday and Friday, was likely slated for additional rest and should retain his closer role over Minter in Atlanta. • MRI shows inflammation
An MRI revealed that Riley has inflammation in his left side, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The results of Riley's MRI indicate that he'll be able to avoid a trip to the 10-day injured list, though the club will exercise caution to ensure he doesn't make the injury worse. "They'll treat him up tomorrow and see where he's at," said manager Brian Snitker. "The MRI just showing inflammation is a good thing, now it's going to be maintenance and a day-to-day thing." • Austin Riley day-to-day with side inflammation
Austin Riley’s MRI showed nothing more than inflammation in his left side, according to the Braves.

Advice: Consider Riley to be day-to-day. If he doesn’t feel better by midweek, the Braves could weigh placing him on the IL, but that’s not the plan for now. Zack Short will fill in at third base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm

    • Undergoing MRI on side
Riley is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs and is slated to undergo an MRI on his injured left side, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Riley was lifted in the bottom of the fourth inning of Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets after experiencing left side tightness, which reportedly first surfaced during batting practice earlier that day. While Atlanta remains hopeful that Riley isn't dealing with a long-term injury, more will be known once the MRI results are in later Monday. Zack Short will pick up a start at the hot corner Monday while Riley exits the starting nine for the first time all season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:24 pm

    • Austin Riley undergoes MRI on injured side
Austin Riley is currently undergoing an MRI on his injured right side.

Advice: Everyone was hoping this was a minor tweak, but the MRI probably wouldn’t come so quickly if that was the case. Zack Short is playing third base for the Braves tonight. The team might want to see if it can swing an upgrade there should Riley land on the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:14 pm
