    • Homer, three walks in win
Moreno went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three walks and two total runs scored in Monday's 6-5 win over the Reds.

Advice: The homer was Moreno's first of the year, and this was the second game of the season in which he had multiple walks. He's gotten off to a slow start with the bat, hitting .248 through 33 contests, but he's made up for it with a 12.8 percent walk rate, easily the best of his career. Moreno has added 16 RBI, 12 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 117 plate appearances while serving as Arizona's primary catcher. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 pm
    • Gabriel Moreno homers, walks three times in win
Gabriel Moreno hit a solo homer and drew three walks in a victory over the Reds on Monday.

Advice: Moreno took Graham Ashcraft deep for his first homer of the 2024 campaign. The four-reach game helps improve his slash to .248/.350/.356. The on-base percentage is nice. Everything else leaves a lot to be desired — even as a catcher. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:04 pm
    • Ronald Acuña Jr. plates run in victory over Cubs
Ronald Acuña Jr. went 1-for-3 with an RBI on Monday, leading the Braves to a 2-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Acuña extended Atlanta’s lead with a sixth-inning RBI single off Cubs reliever Hayden Wesneski with two outs in the frame after being picked off first base on a pair of occasions by Chicago starter Shota Imanaga earlier in the contest. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar has gotten it going at the dish of late, batting .275 (11-for-40) with two homers and one steal in 10 games since the start of May. • Corbin Burnes hurls six frames in no-decision
Corbin Burnes allowed one run over six innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Burnes notched only two strikeouts and also issued a pair of walks. He generated only seven swinging strikes and finished with a pedestrian 29 percent CSW. It was his lowest single-start strikeout total of his Orioles debut, but he extended his streak of allowing three earned runs or fewer to an impressive nine consecutive outings. He’ll bring a sparkling 2.68 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 49/14 K/BB ratio across 53 2/3 innings (nine starts) into a home matchup on Sunday against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:07 pm

    • Goes deep again Monday
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 6-5 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After going the first 37 games of the season without launching any home runs, Torkelson has now blasted off in consecutive contests. Both home runs were two-run shots, and the 24-year-old could certainly keep it going, as he's shown the ability to hit long balls in bunches. Torkelson recorded a career-best 31 home runs last year, to go along with 94 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:02 pm
    • Spencer Torkelson hits go-ahead homer vs. Marlins
Spencer Torkelson slugged a go-ahead two-run homer on Monday, lifting the Tigers to a 6-5 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: It was a big-time moment for Torkelson, who desperately needed one after a rocky few weeks to start to the year. The 24-year-old former first-overall pick connected for a go-ahead blast off Marlins reliever Anthony Maldonado in the eighth inning for just his second round-tripper of the season. It’s difficult to pinpoint the root of his struggles, especially since his plate skills have remained adequate, but he’s coming off a 31-homer campaign and should start hitting for more power once the weather warms up. He’s homered in back-to-back contests and might finally be getting going at the dish. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:52 pm
    • Continues to receive little support
Burnes did not factor into the decision Monday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Burnes did not allow an extra-base hit as a walk and two singles in the sixth led to the lone run he allowed. The two strikeouts are the fewest Burnes has recorded in a start during his career and represent the eighth consecutive start in which he's recorded six or fewer K's after opening the season with an 11-strikeout effort. While he's not been as dominant in Baltimore as he was in Milwaukee, Burnes has still been plenty effective, allowing three or fewer runs in every start this season. His next outing is tentatively slated to take place this weekend when the Blue Jays come to Camden Yards for a three-game set. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:34 pm

    • Set for rehab assignment
Crawford (oblique) was active for the Mariners' batting practice Monday and will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Advice: Crawford has been on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 right oblique strain since April 25, but he appears to be on the cusp of returning to the big-league roster. He'll likely need to participate in multiple contests during his rehab assignment in Triple-A before being activated and could join the team in Baltimore ahead of its three-game series with the Orioles beginning Friday. • J.P. Crawford to begin rehab assignment
J.P. Crawford is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Tacoma this week.

Advice: Crawford has missed three weeks due to an oblique strain, but he’s getting closer to a return. Dylan Moore has been surprisingly good in his place at shortstop, but he’ll go back into a utility role once Crawford is ready. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:41 pm
