    • Slugs two-run homer
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Alonso gave New York a two-run lead with his blast to center field in the sixth inning, but Texas was able to mount a comeback and pull of the victory. The long ball continued a hot stretch for the first baseman, as he's in the midst of a five-game hitting streak during which he's batted .391 (9-for-23) with two homers and 10 RBI. Alonso is up to 16 home runs and 42 RBI on the campaign along with 42 runs and a .243/.321/.475 slash line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm
    • Two hits, two steals in win
Mullins went 2-for-5 with one RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases in 7-6 win over the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: Mullins singled, stole second base and scored on a Ramon Urias home run in the fifth inning. He then took over in the 10th frame, hitting an RBI single, stealing third and scoring on an errant throw. Mullins saw a five-game hitting streak come to an end Tuesday but responded with a big game that included his first RBI in the month of June. While his .193 batting average is obviously disappointing, Mullins has still managed to accumulate six home runs and 15 steals over 224 plate appearances in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:32 pm
    • Homers, drives in four in loss
Stanton went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in a 7-6 loss to the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Stanton did his best to provide some late-game heroics, crushing a three-run homer in the seventh inning and tying the game on an RBI single in the ninth. Stanton extended his hitting streak to seven games and is now hitting .300 with five home runs and 16 RBI in 60 June at-bats. He is enjoying a nice bounceback season and owns a .243/.301/.494 slash with 18 home runs and 45 RBI over 272 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:25 pm
    • Cedric Mullins with game-winning hit, two steals
Cedric Mullins went 2-for-5 with an RBI, two runs scored, and two stolen bases in the Orioles’ 7-6 win over the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: Mullins played hero in this exciting game with a bloop single that gave Baltimore the lead in the 10th inning. He then came around to score after Jose Trevino sailed a throw into left field as Mullins stole third base. A weight seemed to lift off his shoulders as he crossed the plate, playing the hero in what’s been a disastrous season thus far. Mullins isn’t out of the woods yet, but this game was a welcome sight. • Giancarlo Stanton carries Yankees against Orioles
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, and four RBI against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Stanton single-handedly brought the Yankees back in this one. First, his three-run home run off Yennier Cano cut the Orioles’ lead to 5-4 and then his ninth inning single off Craig Kimbrel sent this game to extra innings. The homer was his 18th in what’s been a tremendous bounce back season for the aging power hitter. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:14 pm
    • Pete Alonso homers in loss
Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The Mets offense was finally held in check after a chaotically-successful week powered by a particular McDonalds’ universe character. Still, Alonso seems to be heating up with a four-game RBI streak. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:52 pm
    • Dealing with wrist issue
Abrams will undergo an MRI on his left wrist after being scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Diamondbacks, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The 23-year-old had a collision on a stolen-base attempt by Corbin Carroll during Tuesday's contest, though it's unclear if that's when the injury was sustained. Abrams should be considered day-to-day heading into Wednesday's series finale versus Arizona until the results of the MRI are reported. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:53 pm

    • Shifts to 60-day IL
The Yankees transferred Rizzo (forearm) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Advice: The veteran first baseman is expected to be sidelined eight weeks after he landed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a fractured right forearm, so the move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as a major surprise. Rizzo will be shut down from baseball activities for up to five weeks. Gerrit Cole (elbow) was activated from the 60-day IL in a corresponding transaction and is making his season debut Wednesday against the Orioles. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:23 pm

    • Yankees transfer Anthony Rizzo to 60-day IL
Yankees transferred 1B Anthony Rizzo to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The Yankees needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster for the return of Gerrit Cole on Wednesday, and the easiest move was to shift Rizzo to the 60-day IL. The 34-year-old is dealing with a right forearm fracture and is expected to be sidelined for the next two months. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:18 pm
