    • Erick Fedde hurls six strong in victory over ARI
      Erick Fedde went six innings while allowing two runs to get a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

      Advice: Fedde did allow eight hits, but he didn’t put anyone on via walk while striking out six. The right-hander gave up runs in the first and fifth inning and he was able to avoid the big inning for another strong outing for the 31-year-old. The White Sox have been a disaster, but Fedde has been an absolute bright spot with a 3.09 ERA through 87 1/3 innings. He’s scheduled to take on the Tigers on Friday. Rotoworld 4 minutes ago

      Rodon (9-3) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out seven over five innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Red Sox.

      Advice: Rodon had posted a quality start in each outing during his seven-game winning streak, but both impressive stretches were snapped Saturday. The Red Sox put up all five runs against Rodon during the first two innings, and the Yankees' offense wasn't able to muster a comeback. The southpaw still has a strong 3.28 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 81:23 K:BB through 85 innings over 15 starts this year.       Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that there is a "high probability" Yamamoto (triceps) will be placed on the 15-day IL, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Roberts' comments contradict Yamamoto's, as the rookie right-hander indicated he didn't think the injury was anything serious after being pulled from Saturday's start. While Yamamoto will undergo further evaluations Sunday before an official move is made, it seems likely that the triceps tightness will require Yamamoto to miss a few starts, even if an IL move is precautionary.       Advice: The Red Sox jumped out to a quick lead, but Criswell didn't pitch deep enough to qualify for the win. He needed 88 pitches (55 strikes) to complete his four frames, making this the seventh time in 12 appearances (11 starts) he's failed to complete five innings.       Yamamoto (triceps) felt tightness during warmups but didn't think it was severe enough to miss Saturday's start and doesn't think the injury is serious, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Yamamoto should still undergo further evaluation, but he doesn't feel as though the injury is anything significant. Per Juan Toribio of MLB.com, the triceps tightness was the reason for Yamamoto's start being pushed back from Thursday to Saturday, meaning the injury has isn't necessarily new. With Bobby Miller (shoulder) expected to return and start Wednesday, the Dodgers could temporarily utilize a six-man rotation to give Yamamoto extra rest.       Advice: Eovaldi needed 75 pitches (46 strikes) to get through three innings, and the Rangers weren't able to get him off the hook for the loss. It's possible the Rangers are still taking it easy on him after a groin injury sidelined him for much of May. Eovaldi has allowed nine runs over 18.2 innings across four starts since he returned from the injured list. He's at a 3.15 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 64:24 K:BB through 60 innings over 11 starts this season.       Advice: Morton had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 22 whiffs among his 105 pitches. The veteran hurler fell behind by a run in the first inning but yielded only two hits while holding the Rays scoreless thereafter. This was a nice bounce-back for Morton after he surrendered five runs (four earned) over five innings against Washington in his previous start.       Advice: Blach gave up seven hits and issued one walk with five strikeouts. The veteran southpaw continues to give up plenty of baserunners — 25 hits allowed over his last three starts — but he was able to get out of jams for the most part to get his third win of the season.
