  • Kyle Schwarber (groin) will return on Tuesday
Kyle Schwarber (groin) ran the bases at 100 percent on Saturday without issue and will be activated from the injured list on Tuesday.

Advice: Tuesday had been the target all along for the 31-year-old slugger to return and running at full speed on Saturday was the final hurdle that he needed to clear to meet that goal. With Schwarber back on Tuesday and Bryce Harper (hamstring) expected to follow shortly, the Phillies’ offense is getting an awful lot of left-handed power back next week. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 pm

  • Kyle Schwarber likely to return on Tuesday
Kyle Schwarber (groin) is scheduled to run the bases on Saturday.

Advice: Schwarber is poised to complete his final step towards returning this weekend and appears a near-lock to return on Tuesday when the Phillies kick off a highly-anticipated series against the Dodgers. Rotoworld Today, 12:45 pm

  • Justin Turner back from paternity leave Saturday
Blue Jays activated 1B Justin Turner from the paternity list.

Advice: Turner is back for Saturday’s game against the Mariners following a three-game stint away from the club on paternity leave. The 39-year-old veteran slugger holds a lackluster .734 OPS with five homers and 27 RBI in 284 plate appearances over 74 games this season in his Toronto debut. Rotoworld Today, 10:57 am

  • Back from paternity leave
The Blue Jays reinstated Turner from the paternity list Saturday.

Advice: Turner won't start Saturday's game against Seattle, but he should retain his role as the Jays' primary designated hitter after spending three days away from the team for the birth of his child. The 39-year-old has slashed .250/.359/.375 on the season, though he boasts a 1.009 OPS over his last nine contests. Addison Barger was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. • Plays field in rehab game
Bogaerts (shoulder) went 0-for-3 while playing second base in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A El Paso on Friday.

Advice: After playing as the designated hitter in his first rehab contest Thursday, Bogaerts transitioned to second base in his second game Friday. He's gone 1-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts over the pair of appearances. While there seems to be ample time for Bogaerts to ramp up and return to the Padres before the All-Star break, MLB.com reports that manager Mike Shildt wouldn't commit to that Friday, saying "I wouldn't rule it out, but I wouldn't say, 'Yes.'" • Sets career high in homers
Naylor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Naylor had some dry stretches in June, but he's turned it around by going 9-for-24 (.375) with six RBI over his last six games. The first baseman set a career high with his 21st homer of the year. He's added 64 RBI, 50 runs scored, three stolen bases, 16 doubles and a .246/.323/.505 slash line over 82 contests. He started the year hot before a shaky May and slightly better June, so he could still find another level in the second half. Rotowire.com Today, 10:24 am

  • Carlos Correa hits grand slam in loss to Astros
Carlos Correa hit his third career grand slam Friday against the Astros.

Advice: The slam was off Josh Hader in the ninth, but the Twins still came up a little short after scoring seven runs in the final frame of a 13-12 loss. It was Correa’s 11th homer this year., and he’s been one of the AL’s best players while batting .307/.377/.514. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

  • Strikes out 10 in loss
Gausman (6-8) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out 10 over six innings to take the loss Friday versus the Mariners.

Advice: Gausman allowed a two-run double to Luke Raley in the third inning, and that was enough to stick him with his fourth loss in five outings. This was his third 10-strikeout game of the year, as well as his third quality start over his last seven games. He's at a 4.64 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 101:27 K:BB through 97 innings over 18 starts overall. Gausman's next start is projected to be on the road in San Francisco. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:19 pm
