Bogaerts (shoulder) has been running the bases, taking light grounders and doing one-handed drills in the batting cage, per MLB.com.

Advice: Bogaerts broke his left shoulder while making a diving stop in the infield May 20 and remains on the 10-day IL. The veteran shortstop isn't likely to return until at least early July given that he has yet to take regular swings. When he does come back, Bogaerts indicated that he will adjust his swing to use a two-handed follow-through in order to protect his injured shoulder. He's undergoing regular imaging on the shoulder to determine when he'll be allowed to start ramping up further. Rotowire.com Today, 11:02 am

  • Clubs homer Friday
Castro went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started the game on the bench. Batting .290 (20-for-69) in June, Castro has been impressive for the Twins, and it hasn't been just an empty average. He has nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 19 contests this month. For the season, he's posted a .272/.357/.444 slash line with six homers, 24 RBI, 43 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a career-high 19 doubles through 76 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm

  • Homers in third straight game
Gelof went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Gelof temporarily tied the score with his two-run shot off Seth Lugo in the seventh inning. After a slow start to the season, the second baseman has perked up with the bat of late, going deep in each of his past three contests and driving in seven runs across his past four games. Gelof's strikeout woes have continued over that span, though, as he's fanned eight times to push his strikeout rate on the season up to an ugly 34.7 percent. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:04 am

  • Zack Gelof homers Thursday for third straight game
Zack Gelof went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Gelof’s home run was his eighth of the season and his third consecutive game with a home run. He’s still just hitting .202 on the season, but the power is starting to show up. Gelof hit 14 home runs in 69 games last year and could be a decent power source in the middle infield going forward. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:56 pm

  • Long starting streak comes to end
Castro is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

Advice: For the first time since April 15, Castro will head to the bench, ending a streak of 59 consecutive starts. Though he opened the season in a utility role, Castro has solidified an everyday role thanks to his positional versatility and solid production at the plate. Austin Martin will enter the lineup at second base in place of Castro, who has been dialed in of late with a .368/.429/.605 slash line to go with one home run, six doubles, one stolen base, nine runs and four RBI over his last nine starts. • Homers again in win
Gelof went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Royals.

Advice: Gelof has homered in back-to-back games and has hit four of his seven long balls this year in June. The second baseman has gone 8-for-29 (.276) over his last eight contests. For the season, he's at a .196/.250/.348 slash line with 19 RBI, 21 runs scored and eight stolen bases, though hitting at or near the bottom of a weak lineup is unlikely to do any favors for his counting stats. • Zack Gelof homers in win over Royals
Zack Gelof went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Gelof’s only hit of the day left the yard as he took Dan Altavilla deep for a solo shot in the eighth inning to extend the Oakland lead. It was Geldof’s second homer in as many days. The 24-year-old second baseman is hitting .196/.250/.348 with seven homers, 21 runs scored, 19 RBI, and eight steals across 222 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:24 pm

  • Willi Castro plates three in victory over Rays
Willi Castro doubled twice and finished with three RBI on Tuesday, leading the Twins to a 7-6 victory over the Rays.

Advice: Castro put Minnesota ahead briefly in a topsy-turvy marathon at Target Field with a bases-clearing double in the fourth inning off Rays starter Aaron Civale. He also recorded another double and walked in this one, reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances out of the leadoff spot. The 27-year-old has been locked-in at the dish over the last few days, hitting .379 (11-for-29) with one homer and one steal over his last seven games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:20 am

  • Fills box score Tuesday
Gelof went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, one stolen base and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Gelof took Alec Marsh deep in the fourth inning to provide the Athletics with enough offense to weather the Royals' comeback attempt. This was Gelof's third multi-hit effort in his last seven games, though the homer was his first since June 5. The second baseman is starting to put together better at-bats, but he's still at a .195/.250/.335 slash line with six homers, 18 RBI, 20 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 54 contests this season.
