• Officially reinstated
Anderson (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Anderson will be available for Tuesday's game against the Brewers after missing exactly 10 days with back soreness. In two rehab starts, Anderson went 4-for-9 with a two-run home run and four additional runs scored, possibly a sign of encouragement for fantasy managers after Anderson started the MLB season batting .197 with a 29.7 percent strikeout rate. • Tim Anderson activated off of injured list
Marlins activated INF Tim Anderson off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Anderson missed nearly two weeks while dealing with a lower back strain. The 30-year-old has hit just .197/.234/.221 with no homers and three steals in 128 plate appearances, and it’s very possible his days of being a fantasy option have passed. Tristan Gray is back in Jacksonville to make room for Anderson on the roster. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • In-game replacement in IL return
Crawford (oblique), activated from the injured list earlier in the day, entered Monday's win over the Yankees as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning and remained in the game at shortstop, going 0-for-2.

Advice: Crawford struck out swinging in his pinch-hit appearance and subsequently flied out to center to close out the ninth. The veteran shortstop was logging his first game action since April 23, and given his in-game appearance and ability to play defense Monday, he's a likely candidate to return to the starting nine Tuesday. • Report: Anderson coming off injured list Tuesday
Isaac Azout of SBNation reports that the Marlins will activate Tim Anderson (back) off the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Anderson was placed on the injured list May 13 with lower back tightness, so the shortstop will end up missing a little over a week. He’ll take over starting shortstop duties, and Tristan Gray will be optioned back to Triple-A in the corresponding move per Azout. Rotoworld Today, 9:55 am

  • Will be activated Tuesday
The Marlins will activate Anderson (back) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's contest against the Brewers, Isaac Azout of SBNation.com reports.

Advice: Anderson will have missed just the minimum 10 days while dealing with lower-back tightness. He played in two rehab games with Triple-A Jacksonville, going 4-for-9 with a home run. Anderson has shown no signs of figuring things out at the plate with the Marlins, however, as he will return to a woeful .197/.234/.221 batting line with a 29.7 percent strikeout rate. • Swipes bag in win
Lopez went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's extra-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Making another start at second base, Lopez continued a strong stretch that has seen him slash .306/.350/.528 over the last 11 games with two homers, a steal, four runs and eight RBI. The 25-year-old has been forming an effective double-play duo with Vidal Brujan of late, but with Tim Anderson (back) poised to come off the IL, it's not clear how the Marlins will divvy up playing time at the middle infield spots between the three players. Lopez has played well enough to remain in a significant role, however. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am

  • Hammers out four hits Monday
Bichette went 4-for-4 with three doubles, a run scored and an RBI in Monday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Batting cleanup against righty Erick Fedde, Bichette scorched the ball all afternoon, and his final two doubles left his bat with exit velocities of 110.4 mph and 105.8 mph. After a tough start to 2024, the shortstop is catching fire at the plate, recording three multi-hit performances in his last six games and slashing .368/.429/.553 over his last 10 contests. • Starting rehab assignment
Walls (hip) was assigned to the Florida Complex League Rays on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.

Advice: Walls had to be shut down for a while after developing inflammation in his surgically repaired right hip, but he's progressed to the point that he's ready to try things out in a game setting. The infielder will eventually move up to a higher affiliate but figures to be looking at a lengthy rehab assignment since he'll basically be going through spring training. Walls is probably looking at a utility infielder role with the Rays when he returns. Rotowire.com Today, 6:25 am

  • Steals, scores in win
Hamilton started at second base and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 5-0 win over Tampa.

Advice: Hamilton made his fourth start in the last six games and has hit safely in five straight. Once a forgotten man on the roster -- he started just 12 times and had 50 plate appearances over 35 games after being called up April 6 -- Hamilton is 6-for-15 with four extra-base hits with three runs and three RBI during the hit streak. Vaughn Grissom (.135) has yet to establish himself as the everyday second baseman, so there is an opportunity for Hamilton to become fantasy relevant. Rotowire.com Today, 3:53 am
