      Advice: Pfaadt, who allowed nine hits (including three home runs) and teammate Humberto Castellanos were each tagged for five runs as they soaked up nearly a complete game to spare Arizona’s overworked bullpen, which frankly needed a break after some heavy usage earlier this week. He struck out five and only handed out one free pass.       Pfaadt (2-5) allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss versus the Padres on Friday.

      Advice: Even in pitcher-friendly Petco Park, Pfaadt was tagged for a season-high three home runs. He gave up back-to-back solo shots to Fernando Tatis and Jurickson Profar in the first inning and also yielded a two-run blast to Ha-Seong Kim in the sixth. This was the third start in a row where Pfaadt has given up four or more runs. He's now at a 4.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 76:15 K:BB through 78.1 innings across 13 starts.       Helsley picked up the save in Friday's 8-5 victory over Colorado. He pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.

      Advice: Helsley handily retired all three batters faced in his third consecutive scoreless outing to gather his league-leading 21st save. The Cardinals closer has been stellar, suffering just one blown save in his 28 total appearances.       Ryan Helsley converted a save while not allowing a run during Friday’s game against the Rockies.

      Advice: Helsley breezed through his inning with a pair of strikeouts and needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 21st save of the season.       Cole Irvin allowed three runs (two earned) in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Orioles’ 6-3 victory over the Rays on Friday.



      Advice: Irvin gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out six. The win was his sixth of the season. Irvin hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs since his second start of the year back on April 10th. His ERA on the season is now 2.87, though his 4.19 xFIP tells a different story. The 30-year-old left-hander will see if he can keep it going against the Braves at home next week.

      Peralta is scheduled to start Saturday against the Tigers, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

      Advice: The right-hander initially lined up to start Friday's series opener, but Tobias Myers will instead take the ball in that contest. Peralta has given up at least one homer in each of his past four starts, though he's still been effective over the last three with a 2.55 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB across 17.2 innings.       Advice: Alvarado worked around a one-out single from William Contreras to pick up his second save in the last three days, striking out Andruw Monasterio, Christian Yelich and Willy Adames to protect a two-run margin. The 29-year-old southpaw has converted 11 of his 12 save opportunities this season to go along with a solid 2.96 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 29/10 K/BB ratio across 27 1/3 innings (29 appearances).
