• Jansen picks up 13th save in win over Blue Jays
Kenley Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Jansen has now picked up saves in back-to-back days and has recorded four saves in the month of June. The hard-throwing righty has allowed one run in his last 6 1/3 innings pitched while striking out eight batters to just one walk. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm
  • Bassitt allows two earned runs in loss to Red Sox
Chris Bassitt allowed two earned runs over six innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Despite allowing nine baserunners on the evening, Bassitt managed to hold the Red Sox to just two earned runs, and pitched out of a jam with runners on to close out the sixth inning. The veteran righty continues to be a solid option in the middle of the Jays’ rotation, and has allowed just four earned runs over 18 innings in the month of June. Bassitt will get another crack at the Red Sox in his next start on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm
  • Houck allows two earned runs as Red Sox top Jays
Tanner Houck allowed two earned runs over 5 2/3 innings in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Houck gave up two runs in the second after Ernie Clement laced a double to right to give the Blue Jays their first runs of the night. He would be pulled in the sixth after an RBI single by Isiah Kiner-Falefa, but things could’ve been much worse for Houck, who allowed nine baserunners on the evening while throwing 103 pitches. He’s allowed three earned runs or less in 14 of his 15 starts on the season and is scheduled to face the Jays in his next start, which comes on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm
  • Iglesias picks up 19th save in win over Tigers
Raisel Iglesias pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up his 19th save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: After giving way to Joe Jimenez to shut the door on Monday, Iglesias was back on the bump on Tuesday to close things out vs. the Tigers. Iglesias needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 19th save of the season, bouncing back nicely from his last outing vs. the Rays. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
  • Santiago Espinal homers in win over Pirates
Santiago Espinal went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Espinal’s home run accounted for the only runs the Reds would score, or need to score, on Tuesday. It was Espinal’s first start in over a week and just his fourth home run of the season to go along with a .204 average. He remains off fantasy radars, but it was a good day for him today. • Schwellenbach strikes out 7 in win over Tigers
Spencer Schwellenbach allowed one earned run over six innings while picking up the win on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Schwellenbach turned in his best performance of the season on Tuesday to earn his first career win. In addition to striking out a season-high seven batters, Schwellenbach also allowed just one run on three hits — both season-bests. The rookie has now allowed three earned runs in his last 12 innings pitched and has a 10:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio over that span. Schwellenbach is scheduled to make his next start on Monday against the Cardinals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:55 pm
  • Mize allows two runs, hit with loss vs. Braves
Casey Mize pitched four innings while allowing two runs on five hits in the Tigers’ loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

Advice: Mize surrendered two runs in the first inning, with the first coming on an RBI triple by Ozzie Albies. It would be the only two runs he’d surrender in the outing, but some long innings resulted in 87 pitches over four frames despite him not walking a batter. Still in search of his first win since April, Mize will look to secure his second win in his next start, which comes on Monday against a stout Phillies lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm
  • Josh Smith returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Mets
Josh Smith is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Mets.

Advice: Smith is back at designated hitter for Tuesday’s contest against the Mets after missing four straight games due to general soreness. It could be a few additional days before he’s ready to get back onto the field defensively, but it’s an encouraging development that the Rangers are able to get his bat back into the lineup. The 26-year-old infielder has been excellent this year, batting .294/.384/.436 with four homers and four steals across 243 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:05 pm

  • Back in lineup
Smith (hamstring) is batting third as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Mets.

Advice: Smith missed four straight games with tightness in his upper hamstring but will rejoin the lineup Tuesday. While he's healthy enough to play, the Rangers are opting to ease Smith into action in a non-defensive capacity, giving him his first start at DH this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:04 pm
