Mize allows two runs, hit with loss vs. Braves
Casey Mize pitched four innings while allowing two runs on five hits in the Tigers’ loss to the Braves on Tuesday.
Advice: Mize surrendered two runs in the first inning, with the first coming on an RBI triple by Ozzie Albies. It would be the only two runs he’d surrender in the outing, but some long innings resulted in 87 pitches over four frames despite him not walking a batter. Still in search of his first win since April, Mize will look to secure his second win in his next start, which comes on Monday against a stout Phillies lineup.
