    Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Blake Treinen (lung) will be activated from the injured list on Sunday.

    Advice: Roberts also said that he won’t be easing Treinen back into action and that he won’t hesitate to use him in high-leverage situations from the get-go. The 35-year-old right-hander should provide a major boost to the back end of the Dodgers’ bullpen, but it’s unlikely that he takes too many save chances away from Evan Phillips.   • David Bednar earns win with scoreless ninth
    David Bednar tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout to earn the win against the Rockies on Saturday.

    Advice: Bender entered in the top of the ninth with the game scoreless. He tossed a clean frame, striking out one batter to send it tied to the bottom of the ninth.   • Battling back tightness
    Leone was removed from Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to lower-back tightness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

    Advice: Leone entered the game in the eighth inning and was only able to get through one batter -- a five-pitch walk to Nolan Arenado -- before coming out of the game.     Héctor Neris allowed one run in the ninth inning, holding on for the save against the Brewers on Saturday.

    Advice: It hasn’t come easy for Neris, but he just keeps getting by in the ninth inning. He was summoned with a two-run lead against the Brewers and gave up a run on two hits and a walk before closing it out for his sixth save. Mark Letter Jr. tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts before handing it over to Neris. He’ll be someone to watch if Neris struggles to convert saves going forward.   • Cole Sands picks up save against Red Sox Saturday
    Cole Sands picked up his second save of the season on Saturday, working a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a two-run lead against the Red Sox.

    Advice: Twins’ manager Rocco Baldelli turned to his closer, Jhoan Duran, to face the heart of the Red Sox’ lineup in the eighth inning, leaving Sands to clean it up in the ninth. He did his job admirably, getting Garrett Cooper on a ground ball to second base, David Hamilton on a swinging third strike and Reese McGuire on a line drive to first base to end it.     Advice: Manager Matt Quatraro hinted Friday toward sending Marsh out on a rehab assignment, and the 25-year-old righty will now officially build back up with Omaha. Starting Sunday would put Marsh in line to return to Kansas City's rotation Friday against the Angels, though it's unclear if the Royals will want to keep him in the minors for multiple starts.     The Marlins optioned Go to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

    Advice: Go was part of the Padres' trade package to acquire Luis Arraez on Friday. Before the trade, Go was demoted to Double-A San Antonio, where he has posted a 4.38 ERA and 1.49 WHIP over 12.1 frames.
