      Diaz earned the save in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

      Advice: Diaz made quick work of the middle of the Pirates' order Tuesday, logging his 16th save of the year. The right-hander has now converted his last nine save opportunities despite allowing three runs (two earned) over his prior three innings.       Phillips struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Alex Vesia issued a two-out walk, and Phillips was able to strike out Hunter Goodman on five pitches to secure the save after the Dodgers' ninth-inning comeback. Aside from a three-run misstep in Pittsburgh on June 6, Phillips has pitched well since his return from a hamstring injury.       Evan Phillips notched a one-out save against the Rockies on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Dodgers initially brought in Alex Vesia for the ninth tonight, but they turned to Phillips after Nolan Jones walked with two outs. Philips responded with a strikeout of Hunter Goodman, giving him his 11th save. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:20 pm

      Kirby Yates took his first loss after giving up an unearned run in the ninth Tuesday against the Mets.

      Advice: José Leclerc’s inability to get the job done in the seventh stressed the Rangers bullpen tonight. David Roberson had to get the final two outs of that inning and then wound up giving up two runs in the eighth on his 30th pitch of the night. Yates came into a tie game in the ninth and gave up the go-ahead run on a walk, a catcher’s interference and a double. The catcher’s interference was provided by J.D.       Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 2-1 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Advice: The save was Díaz’s 16th of the season and fifth in the month of June. It was a nice rebound from his tough outing against the Brewers last time out and Díaz has now thrown a scoreless inning in eight of his last 11 appearances. The bigger key for the 27-year-old was that he didn’t walk a batter in this outing, only the second time in June he’s accomplished that.
