    • Allows five runs in loss
Steele (0-2) took the loss against Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Steele made short work of the first six batters he faced in the contest before giving up a leadoff single to Michael Harris to open the third, followed by a two-run shot off the bat of Adam Duvall. The lefty then appeared to settle in over the next three frames, but again found himself in trouble after allowing three of the first four batters to reach in the seventh. He would end up being charged with another three runs in the inning, with two coming home after he was relieved by Jose Cuas. Steele has now given up four or more runs in three consecutive starts and is still looking for his first win of the season. On a positive note, Thursday also marked the first time this season in which he's gotten through six innings. Rotowire.com Today, 8:15 pm
    • Homers in win
Bichette went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Bichette's power has been largely absent this season -- this was just his third homer of the season through 45 contests. Two of them have come over the last 10 games, a span in which he's hitting .351 (13-for-37) with seven RBI and four doubles. The shortstop is slashing a middling .233/.289/.349 with 19 RBI, 15 runs scored, four stolen bases, nine doubles and a triple through 187 plate appearances, though he's starting to turn things around. Advice: Bichette’s numbers continue to improve after a cold start. He added two hits on Wednesday, including a two-run homer off Nick Nastrini in the second inning. He added another run for the Blue Jays in the fourth with a base hit to score Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The 26-year-old shortstop is now hitting .233/.289/.349 with three homers, 19 RBI, and four steals across 187 plate appearances. • Justin Steele surrenders five runs to Braves in loss
Justin Steele allowed five runs with five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a loss to the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Steele had retired the first six batters before Michael Harris II led off the third inning with a base hit. Adam Duvall followed with a two-run homer to put the Braves on the board. Steele pitched into the seventh, leaving at 93 pitches with a run in, two runners on, and one out. Both inherited runners would come in to score. He struck out five on the day. The 28-year-old left-hander will take a 5.68 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 23/6 K/BB ratio across 25 1/3 innings into a start against the Brewers in Milwaukee on Monday. Rotoworld Today, 7:05 pm
    • Luis Arraez blasts first home run to power Padres
Luis Arraez blasted his first home run of the 2024 season on Wednesday, powering the Padres to a 7-3 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.

Advice: Arraez started off the game with a bang on Wednesday, crushing a leadoff 374-foot (96.5 mph EV) blast off of Nick Martinez to give the Padres an early 1-0 lead. He also singled in the third inning and smacked a run-scoring single off of Brent Suter in the sixth inning that extended the Padres’ lead to 7-1. He tacked on another single in the ninth inning just for good measure. With his four-hit attack, the 27-year-old is now slashing .330/.373/.408 with a homer and 11 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 5:54 pm

    • Austin Riley (side) hits off tee on Wednesday
Austin Riley (side) hit off of a tee without any issues on Wednesday.

Advice: The 27-year-old slugger continues to progress toward a return to the Braves lineup. The next step will be to face live pitching. He has sat out each of the team’s last nine ballgames due to soreness in his side. Zack Short is once again starting at the hot corner for the Braves on Wednesday night against Justin Steele and the Cubs. Rotoworld Today, 3:56 pm

    • Sitting again Wednesday
Riley (side) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Though Riley took a step forward in his recovery from a left side strain by taking swings Tuesday, he'll remain on the bench for the ninth game in a row Wednesday. Provided he didn't experience any setbacks from Tuesday's activity and is continuing to show daily improvement, Riley still looks like he'll avoid the injured list, and his return to the lineup could happen any day. • Resting against lefty
Turang is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Turang finds himself on the bench for the third game in a row while the Marlins bring another southpaw (Jesus Luzardo) to the hill. Andruw Monasterio will fill in at second base for Turang. Rotowire.com Today, 12:47 pm
