    • Chased early in loss
Winn (3-8) took the loss against the Cardinals on Thursday, allowing five runs on five hits and one walk over 2.2 innings while striking out two.

Advice: Winn ran into trouble immediately, allowing a walk and a hit in the first two at-bats before going on to surrender three runs in the opening frame. He would go 1-2-3 through the second inning but once again failed to retire the first two batters to begin the third, leading to another two runs coming home for St. Louis. The right-hander has now surrendered five or more runs in five of his last six starts and has lost his last five decisions (spanning six starts). He currently holds a 10.38 ERA this month (three starts) after posting an 18.36 ERA through three starts in May. Rotowire.com 43 minutes ago
    • Fernando Tatis Jr. goes 4-for-5, hits 14th homer
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 4-for-5 with a homer versus the Brewers in Thursday’s victory.

Advice: Tatis had the two hardest-hit balls in the game with his 112-mph homer and 111-mph single. It’s been a month since his last multi-RBI game on May 19, but that’s not really his fault. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:17 pm
    • Cranks homer Thursday
Santander went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk in Thursday's 17-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Santander has gone 8-for-25 (.320) with five homers and 11 RBI over his last six games. The outfielder is up to 19 homers on the year, with 10 of them coming in June. He's slashing .230/.304/.502 on the year while adding 48 RBI, 42 runs scored and 13 doubles over 70 contests. Santander's finished below a .260 batting average in each of the previous three seasons, so it's not unusual for him to make most of his impact with power. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:11 pm

    • Blows save, earns win
Fairbanks (2-3) earned the win Thursday, allowing one run on two hits over two innings against the Twins. He struck out one.

Advice: Fairbanks was not needed to start the ninth due to the Rays holding a four-run lead, but a leadoff homer followed by the next two runners reaching base necessitated the call to Fairbanks. After inducing a couple of quick outs, Jose Miranda tagged him for a two-out game-tying homer that sent the game to extras. Once the Rays regained the lead in the 10th, Fairbanks stayed on to close out his own victory. The blown save was the second of the season for Fairbanks, who ran the gamut during the series with the Twins, suffering the loss on Tuesday followed by the blown save and subsequent win on Thursday. • Keaton Winn allows five runs in no-decision
Keaton Winn was blasted for five runs over 2 2/3 innings on Thursday in a loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Winn took the ball for Thursday’s contest at historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama and was unable to escape the third inning. He gave up five hits, including a two-run homer to Brendan Donovan in the opening frame. He’ll aim for better results his next time out on Wednesday against the Cubs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:53 pm
    • Santander belts 19th home run Thursday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-5 with a walk and a three-run home run against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Santander’s home run was his 19th of the season. He’s hit a ridiculous 10 home runs in 19 games in June. Santander’s hitting .230 with a .806 OPS and 48 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:36 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. in lineup Thursday vs. Brewers
Fernando Tatis Jr. is in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Brewers.

Advice: Tatis got a day off earlier this week to address a lingering quad issue that he’s been playing through for the last few weeks. It’s possible the nagging issue has impacted his performance recently as he’s batting .130 (3-for-23) over his last seven games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:00 pm
    • Pete Fairbanks (thumb) blows save, gets victory
Pete Fairbanks (thumb) blew a save while allowing a run against the Twins on Thursday, but worked two innings to get the victory.

Advice: Fairbanks entered the game with a couple of runners on and Tampa Bay holding a 6-3 cushion. He was able to get the first two outs, but then gave up a game-tying homer to Jose Miranda to blow the save. He was able to get the final three outs after the Rays scored in the 10th, however, so he gets the win. The right-hander missed a couple of days while dealing with a thumb injury, so the positive is he was back on the mound and does at least get a win. Fairbanks is still likely to see save chances going forward even with a fair share of clunkers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:28 pm
    • Long starting streak comes to end
Castro is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

Advice: For the first time since April 15, Castro will head to the bench, ending a streak of 59 consecutive starts. Though he opened the season in a utility role, Castro has solidified an everyday role thanks to his positional versatility and solid production at the plate. Austin Martin will enter the lineup at second base in place of Castro, who has been dialed in of late with a .368/.429/.605 slash line to go with one home run, six doubles, one stolen base, nine runs and four RBI over his last nine starts.
