    • Anthony Santander stays hot with another homer
Anthony Santander slugged a solo homer on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Santander went deep off Guardians reliever Sam Hentges in the eighth inning of this one. He’s homered 12 times since the start of June and is up to 21 round-trippers on the year already. The 29-year-old’s batting average remains palatable and he remains a pretty strong three-category, power plus counting stats impact fantasy contributor. Rotoworld Today, 6:27 pm

    • M’s lose Bryan Woo to IL with hamstring strain
Mariners placed RHP Bryan Woo on the 15-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Woo has been phenomenal this season for Seattle, registering a microscopic 1.77 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 28/3 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings (eight starts), but has struggled to stay healthy. The 24-year-old righty was lifted from the fourth inning of Monday’s start against the Rays with a right hamstring tightness, and a subsequent MRI revealed a low-grade strain. He’s going to miss at least a couple weeks, even with this being arguably the best-case scenario outcome. Rotoworld Today, 1:38 pm

    • Lands on IL with strained hamstring
The Mariners placed Woo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right hamstring strain, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Advice: It's being classified as a low-grade strain, so perhaps Woo has a chance to return when his 15 days are up or shortly after. Emerson Hancock would normally be the obvious candidate to step into the Mariners' rotation in Woo's place, but his status is unclear after he exited his last start at Triple-A Tacoma with lower-back tightness. Jhonathan Diaz, who's struggled at the big-league level this season (5.06 ERA, 1.88 WHIP) but has an 8-1 record and 3.26 ERA at Tacoma, is another candidate. Rotowire.com Today, 1:38 pm

    • Back from IL, as expected
The Blue Jays activated Bichette (calf) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bichette will skip a rehab assignment and rejoin the floundering Blue Jays following a minimum 10-day stay on the IL. He'll bat leadoff Tuesday against the Red Sox. Isiah Kiner-Falefa had been handling shortstop while Bichette was on the shelf but now will slide back to third base. Rotowire.com Today, 12:30 pm

    • Blue Jays activate Bo Bichette for Tuesday return
Blue Jays activated SS Bo Bichette from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: As expected, Bichette is ready to go after missing the minimum amount of time while dealing with his calf strain. He’ll go back to his role as the everyday shortstop, and has been bumped up to the leadoff spot for Tuesday’s showdown against the sizzling-hot Red Sox at Fenway Park. • Clubs eighth homer
Riley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: The slugging third baseman took Lance Lynn deep in the fifth inning, but it was the only extra-base hit Atlanta managed on the night. Riley is having one of his patented hot streaks, launching five of his eight homers on the season over the last 10 games while slashing .441/.513/1.000 with four doubles, 10 RBI and 10 runs. • Good start goes to waste
Steele allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out nine over 7.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: The downside to Steele's outing was that two of the hits on his line were solo home runs from Matt Chapman and Nick Ahmed. The southpaw hadn't given up a homer in any of his last five starts, and the Giants were able to continue their comeback push against the Cubs' bullpen to deny Steele his first win of the year. Despite the lack of positive results, he's logged five quality starts in 11 outings with a 3.08 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 65:16 K:BB over 64.1 innings. Steele is projected for a tough road matchup at Milwaukee this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:05 pm

    • Cubs bullpen can’t hold lead for Justin Steele
Justin Steele was denied a win yet again after allowing two runs in 7 1/3 innings Monday against the Giants.

Advice: Steele struck out a season-high and departed with a 4-2 lead, but it failed to hold up. The result left Steele winless through 11 starts this season, even though he’s turned in quality starts in five of his last six outings. He’s 0-3 with a 3.08 ERA. • Fernando Tatis Jr. (femur) out until second half
Fernando Tatis Jr. expects to be sidelined until after the All-Star break because of his right femoral stress reaction.

Advice: And not just until immediately after the All-Star break, either; this will likely be at least a six-week injury for Tatis. Bryce Johnson will fill in for now, but the Padres need to go get themselves an extra outfielder as soon as possible. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:27 pm
