    • Collects 10th save
Scott earned the save in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against Kansas City, pitching a scoreless inning while allowing one hit.

Advice: Scott worked around a single yielded to Salvador Perez and subsequent pinch-run stolen base by Dairon Blanco to secure double-digit saves for the third consecutive season. The left-handed closer has been especially stingy since May 1, producing a 0.84 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 23:10 K:BB across 21.1 innings. Scott has blown only two saves in 2024 and is firmly cemented as the closer in Miami. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 pm
    • Tanner Scott picks up 10th save vs. Royals
Tanner Scott pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Scott allowed a one-out single to Salvador Perez in the ninth but went on to retire the next two batters he faced. The veteran lefty now has 10 saves on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.59 on the season. Scott has converted on 10 of his 12 save opportunities, but saves have been hard to come by for the 28-win Marlins. Rotoworld Today, 7:52 pm
    • Gausman has quality start against Red Sox
Kevin Gausman allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits in six innings in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Gausman struck out five and walked one on the day but did allow two home runs, which accounted for all but one of the runs scored against him. The 33-year-old’s fastball averaged 94 mph on the day, which is up from his season average and he got seven whiffs on 24 swings on that pitch. However, he was only able to get 10 whiffs overall on the day for a 20 percent whiff rate and 25 percent CSW. He had just a 38 percent zone rate on the splitter, and he’s been struggling to get whiffs on that pitch over the last few starts. That’s a bit of a concern because the fastball isn’t good enough to carry him if the splitter whiffs don’t come back. Rotoworld Today, 7:00 pm

    • Jordan Westburg reaches five times in losing effort
Jordan Westburg went 4-for-4 with an RBI on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Westburg wound up reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances on Tuesday night in a high-scoring affair at Camden Yards. The 25-year-old infielder has vastly outperformed expectations in the first half, batting .283 (79-for-279) with 40 runs scored, 13 homers, 46 RBI and six stolen bases across 73 games. • Nearing rehab assignment
Senga (shoulder/triceps) said Tuesday he expects to begin a minor-league rehab assignment next week, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw a successful live batting practice session Sunday and is scheduled for another Thursday, which could be the final hurdle before he's cleared for minor-league games. Senga will need multiple rehab starts to build up his workload before making his season debut for the Mets, so he likely won't be activated from the 60-day injured list until after the All-Star break. • Kodai Senga (shoulder) nearing rehab assignment
Kodai Senga (shoulder) is aiming to kick off a minor league rehab assignment next week.

Advice: Senga is scheduled to face hitters on Thursday in a live batting practice session, which will likely determine whether he’s ready to head out on an extended rehab assignment. The 31-year-old righty is going to require several rehab outings to build up his strength and stamina before making his season debut at some point after the All-Star break. Rotoworld Today, 2:09 pm

    • Getting day off
Arozarena is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Arozarena will get his first true day off of June on Tuesday, with Josh Lowe filling in at DH while Jonny DeLuca plays left field. Arozarena has generated a hit in nine of his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Today, 12:34 pm

    • Will not appeal suspension
Diaz will begin serving his 10-game foreign substance suspension Tuesday after declining to appeal the ruling, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: While adamant he didn't use anything illegal, Diaz likely stood little chance of winning an appeal, so he'll get the suspension over with now. The closer will be eligible to return July 6. Adam Ottavino, Jake Diekman and Reed Garrett are candidates for save chances while Diaz is unavailable. Rotowire.com Today, 12:10 pm

    • Another live BP on tap
Senga (shoulder/tricep) is scheduled to throw his next live batting practice session later this week, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: While facing hitters Sunday in Port St. Lucie, Fla. for the first time since early May, Senga tossed 22 pitches. He's scheduled to rejoin the Mets in New York this week, and assuming his arm responded well to Sunday's workout, he'll throw another live BP within the next few days. Senga was placed on the injured list coming out of spring training with a shoulder capsule strain and advanced to mound work in late April before having his throwing program shut down when he experienced tricep tightness and nerve inflammation. He's since resumed ramping back up but isn't expected to be ready to make his 2024 debut with the Mets until after the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 11:08 am
