      Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to help the Mariners to a 7-5 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

      Advice: The man they call J-Rod clobbered a cutter that didn’t cut from Nathan Eovaldi into the left-field bleachers to make it 3-0 in the third inning. It’s just the seventh homer of the season for the 23-year-old, but it’s worth noting he’s gone deep in two of the last three games.       Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Padres.

      Advice: Nimmo got the scoring going with an RBI double in the fourth inning and then tacked on an extra run with an RBI single in the eighth.       Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in an extra-inning loss to the White Sox.

      Advice: Rodriguez was hitless in his first three at-bats but came up big in his fourth trip to the plate, smashing a game-tying solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning. The long ball was just his second across 17 contests since he went deep in back-to-back games May 25-26. Rodriguez has 16 thefts this season but has been fairly disappointing otherwise with just six homers, 26 RBI, 34 runs and a .268/.317/.354 slash line through 300 plate appearances.       Julio Rodríguez hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning against the White Sox, but the Mariners fell to Chicago in extra-innings.

      Advice: With the Mariners trailing 2-1, J-Rod obliterated a Michael Kopech fastball to right-center field that tied the game at 2-2. The outfielder now has six homers on the season; a disappointing total for a player who many (justifiably) thought would be among the league leaders in 2024.       Soler went 2-for-2 with two walks and one run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Astros.

      Advice: Soler has found some success at the plate in June, going 11-for-37 (.297) over 10 contests this month. He's also drawn four walks over his last three games, though his 9.6 percent walk rate is still his lowest since 2015. While it's a positive to see the designated hitter make more consistent contact, he's still struggling to hit for power. He's batting .217 with a .661 OPS, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases over 56 games this season.       Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with an RBI and also stole a base on Wednesday in the Brewers’ victory over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Yelich finished with a game-high three hits, including a go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning, and also picked up his 12th stolen base in this one.
