    • Monday return confirmed
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Turner (hamstring) will be reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Turner has been on the shelf since May 4 with a left hamstring strain, but he'll rejoin the big club without requiring a minor-league rehab assignment beforehand after the Phillies came away from his recent workouts convinced enough that he's at or near full health. Once he's formally activated from the IL ahead of Monday's game against the Padres, Turner should settle back in as the Phillies' everyday shortstop, pushing Edmundo Sosa back into a utility role. Sosa performed well during Turner's extended absence, and Thomson recently floated the possibility of Sosa seeing some looks in the outfield once Turner is back in the fold. • Sent back to Triple-A
The Marlins optioned Anderson to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

Advice: Miami sent Anderson back to Triple-A just one day after he was called up from Jacksonville to make a spot start in the series opener versus the Nationals. The 29-year-old lasted just two innings in the Marlins' 8-1 loss, giving up seven earned runs on 10 hits. The Marlins will still need to fill the vacant No. 5 spot in their rotation Wednesday versus the Cardinals, but the team called up Kent Emanuel from Triple-A to provide a fresh arm out of the bullpen in the meantime. • Added as 27th man
Basso joined the A's and will serve as the 27th man for Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Basso will provide depth to the Oakland bullpen, but it will likely be only a one-day stint in the big leagues. The lefty has struggled in the harsh pitching environments of the Pacific Coast League, allowing 18 runs in 21.1 innings since advancing from Double-A Midland earlier this season. • Trea Turner (hamstring) to be activated Monday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters before Sunday’s game that Trea Turner (hamstring) will be activated off the injured list before Monday’s game against the Padres.

Advice: There was some talk that Turner could be back Sunday, but Philadelphia will get the 30-year-old one more day before he’s back in action. The star shortstop’s return is a big boost for both fantasy managers and the Phillies. The only question will be how much the speedy infielder will run after missing so much time with his hamstring injury. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

    • Joins big-league bullpen
The Marlins selected Emanuel's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

Advice: Despite being lit up for 12 earned runs in just two innings in his latest outing for Jacksonville to bring his season-long ERA at Triple-A up to 6.60, Emanuel got the call to the majors with Miami looking to add a fresh arm to its bullpen. Shaun Anderson was optioned to Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
    • Two doubles, stolen base in win
McMahon went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: McMahon doubled in his third trip to the plate and advanced to third on a sacrifice fly before then stealing home to increase Colorado's lead to five runs. The third baseman would add an RBI double in the eighth, giving him his sixth multi-base hit over his last four games. McMahon has also recorded multiple hits and scored two runs in three of his last four contests. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

    • Ronel Blanco starting Sunday against Tigers
Ronel Blanco will start Sunday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: There was talk that Blanco would get some extra rest before making his next outing, but the right-hander will work on regular rest for the finale against Detroit. Assuming the rotation stays the same after this start, his next outing would come against the Orioles. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Not starting Sunday
Winker (knee) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Winker required an MRI after exiting Saturday's 4-0 win with a right knee injury, and while the results of his medical tests haven't yet been revealed, he'll be forced to miss out on at least one start. With Winker out of the lineup Sunday, Ildemaro Vargas will pick up a start in left field. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

    • On bench Sunday
Turner is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: George Springer will get the start at DH as Addison Barger takes over in right field against right-hander Ben Lively. Age has caught up to Turner in a hurry -- he's slashing .225/.314/.345 with four home runs this season -- and the veteran will likely continue to receive regular rest days as the Blue Jays work in newcomers like Barger and Spencer Horwitz.
