      Advice: Mountcastle increased Baltimore's lead to six runs with a three-run double in the second before also coming around to score later in the frame. He would go on to reach base four times in the game while also driving in another run, matching his season high with four RBI.       Advice: Volpe set the table well out of the leadoff spot, reaching base four times and notching his sixth effort of at least three hits this season. The second-year shortstop came up with a clutch hit in the ninth inning, doubling to left field and later coming home to score the game-tying run on a Giancarlo Stanton single. In the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday, he doubled in a run then scored a game-tying run.       Advice: With solid counting statistics (12 home runs, two stolen bases, 37 RBI and 28 runs) and a non-toxic batting average (.234), Jeffers has been one of the top fantasy catchers this season, but he's started to lose some of his shine in recent weeks. He's slashing just .153/.240/.259 overall since May 15, and his ongoing struggles at the dish have begun to cost him some playing time. He'll give way Wednesday to Christian Vazquez, who remains the Twins' No. 2 catcher but seems to have moved his way into more of a timeshare with Jeffers behind the dish.       Advice: Smith returned to the starting lineup Tuesday after battling a hamstring issue since late last week. He was given a soft re-entry as the DH and could return to his normal duties as the fill-in third baseman for the injured Josh Jung (wrist). The surprisingly productive Smith has been a boon to the Rangers' offense which has missed Jung's bat.     • Josh Smith hits three-run homer against Mets
      Josh Smith went 2-for-4 and hit a three-run homer Tuesday in the loss to the Mets.

      Advice: We’re still not really buying into Smith’s terrific start to the season, but there’s little doubt that he’ll remain in the Rangers lineup after Josh Jung returns. He’s batting .298/.386/.451 through 247 at-bats, even though his exit velocity numbers are actually worse than when he hit .185/.304/.328 last season.
