    • Framber Valdez dazzles against Orioles
Framber Valdez allowed one run on six hits in seven innings in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: Valdez struck out seven and walked two on the day. He allowed just one extra-base hit, but it happened to be a solo home run to Jordan Westburg. The left-hander induced 11 whiffs on 45 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate and 34 percent CSW against a really talented offense. That’s now back-to-back really strong starts for Valdez after a rough outing against the Giants. He’ll carry a 3.68 ERA into a plus matchup against the Mets next week. • Idle vs. lefty
Gimenez is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Gimenez will begin Sunday's game in the dugout with the Blue Jay sending southpaw Yusei Kikuchi to the mound. Daniel Schneemann will start at second base and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:27 am

    • Another multi-hit performance
McMahon went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Nationals while also drawing a walk.

Advice: McMahon continued his offensive surge Saturday, tallying hits in each of his first two trips to the plate before adding a solo home run in the eighth to bring Colorado back within one run of the Nationals. It marked the third baseman's seventh multi-hit performance in his last 10 games, and he's now homered in two of his last three. Over the former stretch he's batting .476 (17-for-42) with four homers, eight RBI and 11 runs scored. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:43 am

    • Ryan McMahon leads Rockies to victory over Nats
Ryan McMahon went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and a pair of RBI on Saturday, lifting the Rockies to an 8-7 walk-off victory over the Nationals.

Advice: McMahon was at the dish for the conclusion of an instant back-and-forth Coors Field classic which ended in truly bizarre fashion when Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan committed a pitch clock violation that led to a bases-loaded free pass for McMahon and a walk-off victory for Colorado. The 29-year-old corner infield continued to build his All-Star Game case earlier in this contest by launching a solo homer in the eighth inning to cap off an impressive three-hit effort. He’s batting .280/.354/.486 with 14 homers, 42 RBI and one steal in 286 plate appearances over 75 games so far. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:23 am

    • Picks up steal Saturday
Gimenez went 1-for-2 with a walk, a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Gimenez has been running well recently, picking up four steals over his last 10 games, but he's hit just .179 (7-for-39) with two walks in that span. The second baseman is up to 13 steals on 16 attempts this year. He's added a .255/.311/.353 slash line with five home runs, 37 RBI, 39 runs scored, 10 doubles and a triple over 303 plate appearances. Gimenez's playing time remains steady, but a significant drop in power and a slight decline in speed have hurt his fantasy utility. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:17 pm

    • Earns seventh win
Lively (7-3) allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Lively bounced back from his shortest start of the year by getting back into the win column. He hasn't struck out more than five batters in any of his last five outings, but he's generally been good at limiting damage, as he's given up two or fewer runs in nine of his 12 starts. The right-hander is at a 3.03 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 56:20 K:BB through 65.1 innings this season, though he's also been tagged for 10 home runs, including two in Saturday's start. Lively is projected to make his next appearance at Kansas City. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:57 pm

    • Opening Sunday
Kelly will serve as the Red Sox's opening pitcher for Sunday's game against Cincinnati, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Kelly will make his second start of the season Sunday, likely throwing only 1-to-2 innings before handing the ball off. It's unclear if the Red Sox will commit to a full bullpen game or utilize a bulk reliever, though Chase Anderson would be the likely option to work extended innings behind Kelly if Boston elects to go that route. • Lively allows two runs, gets seventh win Saturday
Ben Lively allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 6-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Lively gave up three hits, walked two and struck out four. He’s now won five of his last seven starts and has seven wins overall on the season. His ERA is 3.03. Not bad for a waiver wire pickup. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road next weekend.

    • Perfect at plate Friday
Cronenworth went 5-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, two RBI and four runs scored in Friday's 9-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: This was Cronenworth's first career five-hit game. He's been locked in lately with five multi-hit efforts over his last 13 contests, going 16-for-50 (.320) in that span. The infielder's big game lifted his slash line to .266/.330/.464 with 12 homers, 49 RBI, 36 runs scored, 17 doubles and one stolen base over 75 contests this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:15 pm
