Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 6-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Santander got the Orioles on the board in the first inning, tagging Oakland starter Mitch Spence for a solo shot. The long ball was Santander's ninth of the last 21 games, bringing his season total to 23 homers. Only Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani and Gunnar Henderson have hit more round trippers than Santander. • Fans four in return
Cabrera yielded two runs on four hits and a walk in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out four during Miami's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Cabrera made his first MLB appearance since May 7 after a two-month stint on the IL due to a shoulder issue. He looked solid through three scoreless frames before coughing up a two-run homer to Danny Mendick in the fourth inning. Cabrera walked just one batter but struggled to command the strike zone, throwing just 47 of 82 pitches for strikes. He's now sporting a 6.84 ERA with a 35:15 K:BB through 25 innings. Cabrera's next outing is projected to be in Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:51 pm
    • Dylan Cease gives up two homers in defeat
Dylan Cease yielded three runs in seven innings Sunday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The runs came on longballs from two players who had totaled two and six homers while serving as regulars all year long. He’s given up 14 homers in his last 14 starts, resulting in a 5.11 ERA even though he has an impressive 103/22 K/BB ratio in 79 1/3 innings over that span. There’s no reason he can’t bounce back with a big second half, but there’s also no good reason he isn’t already pitching better. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • Corbin Carroll hits first homer in two months
Corbin Carroll took the Padres’ Dylan Cease deep Sunday for his first homer since May 7.

Advice: Carroll hit the ball 397 feet, his second-farthest shot this year. It’s the first time since that May 7 homer that he’d hit one over 370 feet. Carroll has just one 400-foot blast this season, compared to 21 last year. We still wouldn’t say there’s a whole lot to be encouraged about here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • Cruises to sixth win
Eovaldi (6-3) earned the win Sunday over the Rays, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five without walking a batter over seven innings.

Advice: Eovaldi limited the damage to a two-run home run by Jose Caballero in the third inning, and the Rangers generated plenty of offense to counter that. This is the third start in a row where Eovaldi's completed seven innings, though it was a small step back from his one-hit outing versus the Padres last Tuesday. The right-hander has a 3.10 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 85:26 K:BB across 87 innings through 15 starts this season. He's projected for a road start in Houston his next time out. • Nathan Eovaldi shines in win over Rays
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Rays on Sunday while striking out five and walking none.

Advice: Eovaldi induced 16 whiffs on 49 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW on the day. His splitter and curve missed tons of bats on the day, and he pounded the zone with his fastball to lower his ERA to 3.10 on the season. He has a tough start lined up against the Astros next week, but we know Kyle Tucker will not be back for that one, which makes it a little less intimidating. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:29 pm
    • Cabrera solid in first start off IL
Edward Cabrera allowed two runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: This was Cabrera’s first start in over two months, so the abbreviated outing was part of the plan. The right-hander started the game with 3 2/3 shutout innings, striking out four. He then allowed a single and a two-run home run to Danny Mendick, before Marlins’ manager Skip Schumaker decided to remove Cabrera from the game. However, Cabrera was able to induce 14 whiffs on 35 swings for a 40 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. He also had just a 38 percent zone rate on the day, which will always be part of the issue with the 26-year-old. He has great stuff, but the command is iffy, which makes him a risky streamer. • Snaps out of power slump
Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Phillies.

Advice: Olson took rookie Michael Mercado deep in the second inning to break out of a 14-game homerless drought. It was Olson's second separate streak of 14 or more games without a homer this season, after only having one such streak all of last season. The 30-year-old entered the game in a 10-for-65 slump with just two extra-base hits and three RBI in his last 18 games, so he'll try to find some positive momentum headed into the All-Star break. • Jared Jones (lat) return in ‘weeks, not days’
Pirates general manager Ben Cherington told reporters Sunday that Jared Jones (lat) return from the injured list will be in “weeks, not days.”

Advice: That’s not a huge surprise, but still a bit alarming to hear at the same time. Cherington did express optimism that Jones can pitch again in 2024, but the Grade 2 lat sprain will keep him out of action for the foreseeable future with the team already announcing Friday he won’t throw for the next two weeks. Fantasy managers should not count on Jones returning in 2024, but treat it like an added bonus if/when it takes place. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:46 am
