    • Not in Friday's lineup
Cowser is not in the lineup for Friday's contest in Houston.

Advice: It marks two straight games that he's been absent from the lineup, and both of them have come against right-handed pitching. After putting up a 1.004 OPS in April, Cowser has just a .603 OPS since May 1. Ryan O'Hearn is in left field and Cedric Mullins is in center Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:16 pm
    • Cranks homer Thursday
Santander went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk in Thursday's 17-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Santander has gone 8-for-25 (.320) with five homers and 11 RBI over his last six games. The outfielder is up to 19 homers on the year, with 10 of them coming in June. He's slashing .230/.304/.502 on the year while adding 48 RBI, 42 runs scored and 13 doubles over 70 contests. Santander has finished below a .260 batting average in each of the previous three seasons, so it's not unusual for him to make most of his impact with power. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:11 pm

    • Santander belts 19th home run Thursday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-5 with a walk and a three-run home run against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Santander’s home run was his 19th of the season. He’s hit a ridiculous 10 home runs in 19 games in June. Santander’s hitting .230 with a .806 OPS and 48 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:36 pm

    • Corbin Carroll gets a day off on Thursday
Corbin Carroll is not in the Diamondbacks lineup on Thursday against the Nationals.

Advice: Carroll has turned things around a bit in June, hitting .290 over 16 games with four steals and 17 runs scored. However, the power is not coming back yet. He has zero home runs in June and has just five RBI now that he has moved back up in the lineup for the Diamondbacks. You’re certainly not mad at his stats this month, but there shouldn’t be an expectation that the power will reemerge. Randal Grichuk will start in right field against a left-handed pitcher with Jake McCarthy moving over to center field. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:51 am
    • Day off versus left-hander
Carroll is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Carroll has finally heated up at the dish in reaching base 25 times while adding four stolen bases over his last 12 contests. He'll get some rest Thursday, however, as the Nationals send tough left-hander MacKenzie Gore to the hill. Additionally, Carroll recently overcame a left side injury, so the Diamondbacks were presumably keen on giving him some maintenance. Jake McCarthy will play center field in Thursday's series finale. • Moves up order against lefty
Carroll batted second and went 1-for-4 with a double in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Carroll had been dropped to the lower third of the order against left-handers a couple of weeks ago, but he was moved back to the top third Wednesday. A 12-game stretch during which he slashed .340/.446/.511 may have influenced manager Torey Lovullo's decision to get Carroll higher in the order. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:20 am
    • Launches 18th homer
Santander went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: The 29-year-old spoiled a combined shutout bid for New York when he took Clay Holmes deep in the top of the ninth inning. Santander has slugged four homers in the last four games, continuing a massive June that has seen him slash .292/.347/.738 with nine of his 18 long balls on the season. • Active in return
Carroll went 2-for-3 with two walks, a triple, a stolen base and a caught stealing in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Carroll was removed from Sunday's game with discomfort in his left side, but he was ready to go Tuesday after an MRI came back clean. He led off the game with a walk, stole second base, then trotted in on Ketel Marte's home run. Carroll later tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly. The 2023 NL Rookie of the Year's season-opening slump has started to lift; he's 16-for-47 (.340) with four doubles, two triples, nine walks, four steals and 16 runs scored over the last 12 games. • Santander hits 18th homer as O’s fall to Yanks
Anthony Santander went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Santander broke up a shutout in the ninth inning when he homered off Clay Holmes, who was brought on in a non-save situation. After getting off to a slow start, Santander has heated up in a big way as of late. The veteran right fielder is slashing .292/.347/.738 in the month of June with nine home runs and 16 RBI.
