    • Homers, drives in four in win
Rortvedt went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Rortvedt walked in the fifth inning, hit a two-run home run in the sixth and added a two-run single in the seventh. The catcher has enjoyed a great June, hitting .333 with three home runs and 14 RBI over 45 at-bats. The 26-year-old only has 15 at-bats against left-handed pitching this season, but he is slashing a solid .282/.369/.405 with three homers and 23 RBI in 146 at-bats against righties. • Tallies three hits in win
Naylor went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in a 10-8 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Naylor was active early, doubling and scoring in the second inning and then singling and scoring the third. He hit an RBI triple and came around to score again in the eighth. Naylor finished a home run shy of a cycle in his first three-hit effort of the season. Over his past five games, Naylor has gone 8-for-18 with six extra-base hits, five RBI and six runs scored. On the season, the young catcher is hitting .202 with four home runs, 17 RBI and 22 runs scored over 168 at-bats. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm

    • Big Ben Rortvedt has four RBI in win
Ben Rortvedt went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in an 11-3 win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

Advice: Rortvedt’s home run came in a one-run game in the sixth inning and broke the game open for the Rays. It traveled 392 feet at 103.7 mph and was the catcher’s third home run of the season. Rortvedt is slashing a solid .274/.369/.390 on the season and is now 15-for-45 (.333) in June with three home runs and 14 RBI in 14 games. He plays four or five games a week for the Rays and is slowly pushing his way onto the radar in one-catcher leagues and needs to be rostered in all two-catcher formats. • Henry Davis (concussion) starting rehab assignment
Henry Davis (concussion) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Wednesday with Double-A Altoona.

Advice: Davis landed on the concussion injured list back on June 15 and is apparently feeling well enough to get back into game action. The 24-year-old former top prospect will probably only need a handful of rehab contests to get back up to speed before returning to Pittsburgh. Rotoworld Today, 4:46 pm

    • Gary Sánchez scratched Tuesday with calf tightness
Gary Sánchez was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left calf tightness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary move by the Brewers as it’ll be William Contreras handling the catching duties instead on Tuesday night. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 4:15 pm

    • Beginning assignment Wednesday
Davis (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on Wednesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Davis has been on the 7-day concussion IL since June 15, and Wednesday will be the first time he's played in any sort of game since then. The Pirates haven't indicated how long the 24-year-old's assignment might last, though it's possible he remains in the minors upon being activated after slashing just .153/.267/.235 across 101 major-league plate appearances this season. • Cut loose by Cubs
The Cubs released Gomes on Friday.

Advice: The veteran backstop was designated for assignment Wednesday and was let go by the Cubs just two days later. Gomes struggled to a .154/.179/.242 slash line and 37.5 percent strikeout rate in 96 plate appearances this season prior to being let go by Chicago. Rotowire.com Today, 3:49 pm

    • Scratched with calf tightness
Sanchez was scratched from the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers due to left calf tightness, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: The veteran slugger was penciled in as Milwaukee's designated hitter, but he'll instead hit the bench due to the injury. Sanchez should be considered day-to-day heading into Wednesday's series finale versus Texas, which is followed by a team day off Thursday. Rhys Hoskins will now serve as the DH on Tuesday while Jake Bauers starts at first base. Rotowire.com Today, 3:31 pm

    • Hoping to swing bat Wednesday
Herrera (back) will play catch Tuesday and is hoping to hit off a tee and take flips Wednesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Herrera is eligible for activation Saturday but could need a rehab assignment before returning. He could make it back by early July if all goes well. It wouldn't seem to be a given that Herrera rejoins the big-league roster at that point, however, since Willson Contreras is back from the injured list and Pedro Pages had been playing over Herrera prior to the latter's injury.
