    • Doubles twice, steals in win
Young went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run scored and a stolen base in a 3-1 loss to the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Young doubled in the third inning and again in the seventh. He then stole third and scored on an errant throw by Rays catcher Alex Jackson. Since June 21, the 24-year-old has four multi-hit efforts and nine runs scored in seven contests. On the season, he is hitting .272 with one home run, 18 RBI, 40 runs scored and 19 steals in 240 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

    • Jeff McNeil gets right with three hits, home run
Jeff McNeil went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in the Mets’ 7-2 win over the Astros on Friday.

Advice: McNeil has been waiting all season for a game like this. The home run was his first at Citi Field since September 24th of last year and oddly his first long ball this season outside the state of Ohio. The signs of life are encouraging, but McNeil’s batting average still sits at a lowly .221. Even a minor hot streak would make him worth a look in deeper leagues since the Mets continue to start him every day. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

    • Jackson Merrill homers in nine-run fifth inning
Jackson Merrill hit a three-run homer to camp a nine-run fifth as the Padres bested the Red Sox 9-2 on Friday.

Advice: The Padres were held scoreless until the fifth, when the first nine batters totaled nine runs on eight hits and one walk against Nick Pivetta and Greg Weissert. Merrill concluded the rally with the second homer of the inning. After that, the Padres put their bats back to bed, coming up with just one hit off Chase Anderson in the final four innings. Merrill’s homer was his 11th in 82 games. His current .282/.318/.439 line is a near match for the .277/.326/.444 he came in at least year, only that was compiled in high-A and Double-A. • Rafael Devers homers in third straight game
Rafael Devers homered in a third straight game and walked Friday against the Padres.

Advice: It’s going to be difficult to leave Devers off the All-Star roster this year; he’s currently fifth in the AL with his .941 OPS. Although Devers has received MVP votes four times in his career, he’s been an All-Star only twice, going in 2021 and ’22. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

    • Yordan Alvarez doubles twice in loss
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and a run scored on Friday against the Mets.

Advice: Alvarez was on base four times in this one as the Mets just could not figure him out. All three of his balls in play were hit at least 108.9 MPH as his OPS has drifted all the way back up to .892, 11th highest in the league. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago

    • Homers twice in win
Siri went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in a 3-1 win over the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Siri led off the second inning with a home run off Mitchell Parker, walked in the fourth and then opened the sixth with another long ball off Jacob Barnes. The outfielder now has eight multi-hit efforts and six home runs in June, though he has not stolen any bases in the month. On the season, Siri is hitting .219 with 11 home runs, 29 RBI, 36 runs scored and seven steals in 246 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

    • Austin Riley homers again
Austin Riley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, walk, and two runs scored on Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Remember when Riley was having a bad season? Me neither. The homer was his ninth this season and fifth in two weeks as his OPS rose to .749. He and the Braves lineup have finally turned the corner. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

    • Nick Gonzales doubles in loss
Nick Gonzales went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base on Friday against the Braves.

Advice: The double was Gonzales’ first extra-base hit in 12 games after smacking 12 in his first 30 contests this season. He’s still been a regular in the Pirates’ lineup despite the recent lack of power. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • No structural damage in knee
Winker said after Friday's game versus Tampa Bay that imaging revealed no structural damage in his right knee, and he's hopeful that he'll be able to play Saturday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: Winker tweaked his knee after his foot got caught in the outfield turf while running down a flyball during the first inning. He had to come out of the game early and was noticeably limping as he walked into the dugout, though it appears he managed to avoid a significant injury. Should Winker have to sit out Saturday's game, Ildemaro Vargas would be a likely candidate to start in left field. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
