      Greene (5-3) took the loss Tuesday, surrendering six runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings as the Reds fell 9-5 to the Pirates. He struck out five.

      Advice: Aggressive baserunning helped Pittsburgh score three times in the first inning before adding three more in the third, and Cincy was never able to climb out of the hole. The loss was Greene's first since April 22 -- over the 10 starts in between, he'd posted a sharp 2.80 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 62:26 K:BB through 61 innings.       Santander went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

      Advice: Santander's up to 12 homers over 24 contests in June. The power surge is impressive, though he's losing a little consistency at the plate by going just 2-for-15 over the last four games. That quiet stretch has taken some of the wind out of his sails as he looks to get his season-long numbers at a respectable level.       Kwan went 1-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-8 win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Kwan has let his bat do the talking since he returned from a hamstring injury, going 33-for-75 (.440) over his last 19 contests. Predictably, he hasn't tried his luck much on the bases, going 1-for-2 in stolen base attempts in that span. He's now at a .385/.443/.563 slash line with seven home runs, 24 RBI, 48 runs scored and four steals over 51 contests, and it's safe to assume his speed will remain down given his history of hamstring issues.       Advice: Marte's homer opened the scoring in the first inning and he added a go-ahead RBI single in the seventh to put the Diamondbacks ahead for good. The second baseman had gone just 2-for-16 over his previous four contests before this multi-hit effort. He's been a big contributor throughout the campaign with a .280/.340/.507 slash line, 16 homers, 46 RBI, 51 runs scored and three stolen bases across 76 games.       Ketel Marte hit a two-run homer in the first and singled in the go-ahead run in the seventh as the Diamondbacks edged the Twins 5-4 on Tuesday.

      Advice: Marte has 16 homers, which is already the third highest total of his career. He’s going to deserve to be the NL’s starting second baseman in the All-Star Game this year, but since the Padres got away with listing Luis Arraez at second after turning him into a full-time first baseman, there’s still some doubt who will get the nod.       Miller did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 win against the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over two innings. He struck out one.

      Advice: The Dodgers right-hander labored through just two innings against a feeble White Sox lineup, requiring 60 pitches with only 32 percent being in the zone. Miller has been unsteady since returning from the injured list June 19, generating a 8.64 ERA and 3:4 K:BB across 8.1 innings versus two weak opponents -- Chicago and Colorado.     • Bobby Miller allows 3 ER in short outing vs. CWS
      Bobby Miller allowed three earned runs over two innings in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Miller surrendered a two-run homer to Andrew Benintendi in the bottom of the first inning, and later saw an Eloy Jiménez double bring Luis Robert Jr. around to score. Miller allowed four baserunners in the frame and needed 38 pitches to get out of the inning but was pulled after the second inning and 60 pitches. It was just Miller’s fifth start of the season and his second-shortest outing on the year, as he was erratic for much of the night, with only 33 of his pitches going for strikes. The young righty has allowed three earned runs or more in three of his starts this season and saw his ERA jump to 6.75 after Tuesday’s outing.       Hunter Greene allowed six runs on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Advice: The game started with Greene throwing up on the mound after delivering a first-inning fastball and it didn’t get much better from there. He struck out five and walked two and his velocity was fine on the day, but he clearly wasn’t feeling 100 percent. He posted a solid 27 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW, but the command wasn’t great and the Pirates were able to scratch out their runs on just one extra-base hit.       Rea is no longer listed as the Brewers' probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

      Advice: The Brewers haven't provided an explanation for the change, and Rea isn't believed to be dealing with any sort of injury, so he may just be getting pushed back in the pitching schedule so that Milwaukee can have him available to make a start against the divisional-rival Cubs over the weekend. Milwaukee has yet to announce a replacement starter for Wednesday's contest, but newly acquired lefty Dallas Keuchel would be available on four days' rest to take the hill against the Rangers if the Brewers choose to add him to the 40-man roster.
