    • Dylan Carlson (shoulder) to be activated on Sunday
Dylan Carlson (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday.

Advice: Pedro Pages will be optioned to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move on Sunday. Carlson has been shelved since spring training due to his shoulder injury but is finally ready to return to the Cardinals’ outfield. Remember, he hit just .219/.318/.333 with five homers, 27 RBI and three stolen bases over 255 plate appearances during the 2023 campaign. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

    • Headed back to Triple-A
Pages will be optioned to Triple-A Memphis prior to Sunday's game against the White Sox, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: He was up as a third catcher for a bit but will clear out to make room for Dylan Carlson's (shoulder) return from the injured list. Pages is 0-for-2 in four plate appearances with the big club, although he did have a go-ahead sac fly in the ninth inning of a comeback win over the Tigers earlier this week. • Matthew Liberatore to start for Cardinals Sunday
Matthew Liberatore will start for the Cardinals in Sunday’s series finale against the White Sox.

Advice: Liberatore has been pitching out of the Cardinals’ bullpen all season and has thrown more than 20 pitches in an outing just once since March 30. Needless to say, he shouldn’t be expected to work deep into Sunday’s game and doesn’t make for a strong streaming option. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago
    • Will be activated Sunday
Carlson (shoulder) will be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday's game against the White Sox, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Carlson completed a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis and got through a workout at Busch Stadium on Saturday to clear the way for his season debut. The 25-year-old missed the first month-plus of the season with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder. With Tommy Edman (wrist) still out, Carlson should see the bulk of the starts in center field for St. Louis. However, it's possible the club could ease him into a full-time role. • Evaluated for left knee injury
Murphy is being evaluated for a left knee injury after exiting Saturday's game versus the Phillies, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Murphy tweaked the knee as he tracked down a wild pitch in the second inning in rainy conditions in Philadelphia. It's the second catcher the Giants have lost in a day, as Patrick Bailey was just placed on the 7-day concussion injured list. Blake Sabol took over for Murphy on Saturday. • Getting spot start Sunday
Liberatore will start Sunday's game against the White Sox, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: All 12 of Liberatore's appearances this season have come in relief, so while he did throw three innings in an April 28 appearance, this will be a bullpen game for the Cardinals. However, it's possible Liberatore could earn additional starts if he pitches well, as the Cards need to fill the rotation spot vacated by the injured Steven Matz (back). Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago
    • Korey Lee doubles, drives in two in win
Korey Lee went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Saturday in a 6-5 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Lee led off the second inning with a double, then drove in two runs to tie the game with a base hit in the sixth. The 25-year-old backstop is emerging as a solid offensive catcher for the White Sox, slashing .271/.306/.475 with three homers across 62 plate appearances. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

    • Tanner Banks earns save in tenth vs. Cardinals
Tanner Banks struck out the final batter in the bottom of the tenth to earn the save against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: The contest between the Cardinals and White Sox went into a rain delay with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the tenth. Banks took the mound after a three-hour delay to close it out with a one-run lead. He struck out Iván Herrera to end the game with his first save of the season. Rotoworld Today, 5:42 pm
    • Wyatt Langford exits game with leg injury Saturday
Wyatt Langford was removed from Saturday night’s battle against the Royals after suffering a leg injury while running to first base.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom hit a slow tapper out in front of home plate and was much slower than usual getting to first base. The exit could have been precautionary, with the Rangers holding a big early lead in the game, but we’ll know more when they provide an update on Langford’s status. Stay tuned.
