      Austin Riley went went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in a loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

He has been a tremendous catalyst atop the Guardians’ lineup this season, slashing a robust .356/.406/.500 with three homers, 11 RBI and three stolen bases through his first 31 ballgames.       Mike Trout underwent successful surgery on Friday to repair the meniscus tear in his left knee.

      Advice: Officially, Trout underwent a partial medial meniscectomy. While there’s still no official timetable for his return, the Angels remain optimistic that he’ll be able to return to the lineup at some point during the 2024 season. Unfortunately, that leaves fantasy managers in leagues without injured list spots having to carry a zero on the bench for an indefinite amount of time, or risk the pain of throwing him back into the free agent pool and not being able to reacquire him when/if he does return.
