    • Rodriguez gets fifth win Thursday
      Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs in five innings and picked up the win in the Orioles’ 8-6 win over the White Sox on Thursday.



      Advice: Rodriguez was a bit of a mixed bag in his second start since coming off the injured list. The win was his fifth of the season. Rodriguez struck out seven, but also allowed three hits and walked five. His ERA is 3.20 on the season now. The 24-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Red Sox at home next week.

    • Pitches well but takes loss
      Flaherty (1-4) allowed three runs on seven hits across 6.1 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Blue Jays. He walked one and struck out nine.

      Advice: Home runs by Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Daulton Varsho accounted for all of the runs against Flaherty, but the righty otherwise was sharp once again. He's got a solid 3.84 ERA and has struck out 81 batters across 61 innings this year. The problem has been run support, as he's allowed three earned runs or fewer in three of his four losses so far. Despite the lack of wins, Flaherty looks like a promising fantasy asset, and he'll aim to keep rolling in his next scheduled start, which is tentatively set for next Thursday against Boston.     • Perez knocks in Tigers lone run Thursday
      Wenceel Perez went 1-for-4 with an RBI against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

      Advice: To say it was a quiet night for the Tigers offense would be an understatement. Detroit failed to record an extra-base hit on the night. Perez singled in the sixth inning to drive in Javier Baez and Carson Kelly was thrown out at home by Kevin Kiermaier on the same play. Perez has been the lone bright spot in the Tigers order recently. He’s hitting .295 with an .859 OPS and 14 RBI since his April call to the majors. Rotoworld Today, 6:34 pm

    • Flaherty strikes out nine against Jays Thursday
      Jack Flaherty allowed three runs and struck out nine in 6 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

      Advice: The runs against Flaherty came on a solo home run by Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the third and a two-run home run by Daulton Varsho in the seventh. He has struck out at least nine batters in four of his 10 starts this season. Eight of those starts have been quality starts, but he’s only won one game due to a lack of support from the Tigers’ offense and bullpen.       Advice: Congratulations to Blake and his family. The left-hander will miss the next few games to be with his partner and should return in time to face the Phillies.       Rangers placed RHP Jon Gray on the 15-day injured list with a right groin strain.

      Advice: Jon was removed from Tuesday’s start after 75 pitches with a groin injury. The team has referred to the injury as a “mild strain” and doesn’t expect him to miss more than 15 days; however, they said the same thing about Nathan Eovaldi and he’s now approaching three weeks on the shelf.     • Lands on IL with groin strain
      The Rangers placed Gray on the 15-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to May 22, with a right groin strain, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: Gray suffered the injury in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies, and an MRI revealed a mild strain. He would seem to have a good chance at returning from the IL when his 15 days are up or shortly thereafter, but it will depend on how he recovers over the next several days.       The Giants placed Snell on the paternity list Thursday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

      Advice: Snell will be off the active roster for a few days while welcoming a new baby, but he's expected to rejoin the Giants in time for his next start, which is slated for Monday against the Phillies at Oracle Park.
