  • Brandon Pfaadt exits after being hit by comebacker
Brandon Pfaadt was pulled from Saturday’s start against the Padres in the fifth inning after taking a 98-mph comebacker off the bat of Luis Arraez off of his left foot/ankle.

Advice: He’ll presumably head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. Prior to exiting, Pfaadt had allowed just one run on seven hits while punching out six opposing batters over his 4 1/3 innings of work. He also had a 2-1 advantage and lost his shot at a victory with his early removal. The Diamondbacks should have an update on his status before the night is through. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:20 pm

It was all for nought though as the Dodgers belted a pair of homers of their own in the bottom half of the frame to regain command.
