    Jorge Polanco (hamstring) homered twice on Friday for Triple-A Tacoma.

    Advice: Polanco appears to be close to rejoining Seattle’s infield mix as he’s been out since late May due to a right hamstring strain. The 30-year-old second baseman has dealt with seemingly countless leg issues over the past few seasons, which have impacted his fantasy appeal, but there’s still enough talent here to think he can make an impact in deeper mixed leagues, if he can stay on the field for an extended stretch.   • Tallies three hits Wednesday
    Volpe went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs Wednesday in an extra-inning loss to Baltimore.

    Advice: Volpe set the table well out of the leadoff spot, reaching base four times and notching his sixth effort of at least three hits this season. The second-year shortstop came up with a clutch hit in the ninth inning, doubling to left field and later coming home to score the game-tying run on a Giancarlo Stanton single.     Polanco (hamstring) took a full game's worth of plate appearances as the designated hitter in Triple-A Tacoma's win over Las Vegas on Wednesday, going 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.

    Advice: Polanco's ability to play in back-to-back games for the second time in his rehab assignment appears to bode well for his chances of imminent activation. The veteran infielder already logged seven innings on defense Tuesday, so there may be nothing left to prove for Polanco in terms of the fitness of his previously ailing hamstring.     Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins.

    Advice: Gorman led off the second inning with a 436-foot blast off Yonny Chirinos, cutting St. Louis' deficit to 2-1. It's the first homer in seven games for Gorman, who'd gone just 1-for-28 in that span.   • Nolan Gorman swats solo homer in loss to Marlins
    Nolan Gorman belted a solo homer on Wednesday in the Cardinals’ loss to the Marlins.

    Advice: Gorman took Marlins starter Yonny Chirinos deep in the second inning for his 16th big fly of the season. It was his lone hit in four at-bats in a low-scoring affair down in Miami. The 24-year-old slugging second baseman is batting just .161 (12-for-70) since the start of July, but half of those hits have left the ballpark, which helps salvage some semblance of fantasy appeal.     Advice: Schneider will retreat to the bench after he started in each of the past three games while going 2-for-12 with a solo home run, a double and two walks. With Schneider out of the lineup, the Blue Jays will open up a spot in the outfield for Kevin Kiermaier, who will be flanked by Daulton Varsho in left field and George Springer in right field.   • Productive third rehab game
    Polanco (hamstring) shifted his rehab assignment to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, playing seven innings at second base and going 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run in a loss to Las Vegas.

    Advice: It was a feel-good night all around for Polanco within the context of his recovery, as he handled the bump up in affiliate from High-A Everett well and logged his longest time on the field yet over his first three minor-league games. The veteran infielder is likely due for at least one more outing with the Rainiers before activation is considered, and in addition to the apparently improved condition of his previously ailing hamstring, it's encouraging Polanco has reached safely in all three rehab games thus far.     Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Orioles.

    Advice: Volpe got the scoring started for the Yankees in the second inning when he singled to drive in Austin Wells from third.     Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

    Advice: Albies hit his first triple of the season in the first inning to drive home Jared Kelenic. His RBI would be one of two the Braves would drive in on the evening in what turned into an unexpected pitching duel on the evening.
