    Hernandez went 3-for-5 with a double and a run Thursday in a 5-3 win against Colorado.

    Advice: Hernandez departed in the seventh inning of Wednesday's matchup between the clubs, but manager Dave Roberts indicated afterward that the early exit was simply for rest reasons, and the outfielder's inclusion in Thursday's lineup seems to validate that claim. Hernandez certainly didn't appear bothered by any issues in the finale of the four-game set, as he recorded his fourth three-hit performance of the campaign.   • Royce Lewis homers again versus Tampa Bay
    Royce Lewis homered and walked twice against the Twins on Thursday.

    Advice: Of course he homered. That’s already the ninth homer of the season for Lewis; a solid number for a first half of season, but even more impressive when you remember he’s only played 15 games. The 2017 first-overall pick has been remarkable when healthy enough to play, and his 2024 slash is a scorching .385/.459/.942.   • Thairo Estrada not in the lineup on Thursday
    Thairo Estrada is not in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Cardinals.

    Advice: It appears to be a routine day off for Estrada, who was involved in a minor collision at first base yesterday but remained in the game. The 28-year-old has not been having a great season, hitting .240 with just one steal in 71 games. He’s also hitting .211 with 13 strikeouts over 14 games in June, so things haven’t been ticking up of late either. The Giants will move Brett Wisely to second base and start Nick Ahmed at shortstop.     Advice: Beeks entered the game with the score knotted at 6-6. He delivered his sixth consecutive scoreless appearance, and in that span he has three holds and a win.     Advice: Hamilton returned to the starting lineup after dealing with discomfort in his side. He started the scoring with a run-producing single in the third inning and later stole his 20th base of the season. Hamilton has been prominent in the team's recent transition to the "Running Red Sox," as the team has attempted 17 steals (twice caught) over the last four games.   • Tosses quality start but takes loss
    Crochet (6-6) took the loss against Houston on Wednesday, allowing three runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.

    Advice: Crochet racked up a hearty 19 whiffs and eight punchouts, but it wasn't enough to keep him out of the loss column in a contest during which he was supported with just one run. The fact that the three earned runs were the most the left-hander has allowed since April 24 speaks volumes about the quality of his campaign thus far. Crochet has tallied six consecutive quality starts and is tied for 10th in the majors with 10 total on the campaign.     Advice: Lewis racked up three of the Twins' nine hits and accounted for their final run of the contest with a solo shot to left field in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old third baseman continues to swing a potent bat, as he's gone deep eight times across just 57 plate appearances this season.
