  • Zack Wheeler stumbles late against Marlins
    Zack Wheeler was charged with two runs over 6 2/3 innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

    Advice: Wheeler maneuvered around plenty of traffic on the basepaths into the late stages of this one, but was tagged for a pair of runs in the seventh inning when reliever Matt Strahm served up a game-tying three-run double to Bryan De La Cruz. The 34-year-old fantasy ace has allowed two earned runs or fewer in 14 of his 17 starts this season. He’ll bring a solid 2.73 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 112/31 K/BB ratio across 105 2/3 innings (17 starts) into a road tilt on Wednesday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Rotoworld Today, 6:26 pm
     
  • Kjerstad hits home run, drives in three in win
    Heston Kjerstad went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, a home run and three RBI against the Rangers on Thursday.



    Advice: Kjerstad’s home run was his first of the season. He started the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and his two-run home run off Jon Gray in the third inning gave the Orioles a 6-0 lead. Anthony Santander had the night off with Kjerstad playing right field. Baltimore has a glut of outfielders, but Kjerstad will at least rotate in and could start to see regular playing time with more games like the one he had on Thursday.

  • Perfect at plate in big win
    Alvarez went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, a walk, three total runs and three total RBI in a 12-2 victory versus the Yankees on Wednesday.

    Advice: Alvarez touched up Yankees starter Luis Gil for a two-run homer in the third inning and added a run-scoring double in the fifth. The catcher also singled for his third three-hit performance during his current nine-game hitting streak. Alvarez has been scorching during that stretch, batting .516 (16-for-31) with three home runs, nine RBI and a 7:7 BB:K. His slash line is up to an impressive .313/.383/.521 on the campaign.   • Francisco Álvarez unstoppable in win
    Francisco Álvarez went 3-for-3 with a home run, double, walk, three runs scored, and three RBI in the Mets’ 12-2 win over the Yankees.

    Advice: It’s very easy to forget that Álvarez is only 22-years-old. It’s even easier to forget he just missed nearly two months with a torn ligament in his left thumb.     Goldschmidt went 2-for-7 with a double, a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

    Advice: While far from a breakout on offense, Goldschmidt has hit safely in nine straight games. In that span, he's gone 11-for-37 (.297) with a 3:12 BB:K, two home runs and five RBI. The first baseman's power and consistency are slowly returning, but he's still striking out at a 29.5 percent rate, his worst mark since his rookie year.
