    • Lands 23rd save
Kimbrel picked up the save Sunday, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning against Oakland.

Advice: Kimbrel has now fired seven consecutive scoreless frames, going 7-for-7 in save chances during that stretch to bring his season total up to 23 saves. The 36-year-old fell to a 4.73 ERA after his first 16 appearances of 2024, but has been dominant since, recording a 0.43 ERA with 31 strikeouts across 21.0 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 12:48 am
    • Delivers walk-off home run
Burger went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Burger was 0-for-4 with a pair of punchouts before he belted a three-run shot to win the game in the ninth inning. He's gone deep three times in his last 10 games after halting his 11-game drought. On the year, Burger owns a disappointing .216/.256/.356 slash line with nine home runs and 31 RBI through 68 games. • Drives in two in win
Arenado went 2-for-5 with two RBI in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Arenado continues his hot stretch at the plate with his third consecutive game of two or more hits. It's the second time this season he's put together a streak of three straight multi-hits, each of which has come over his last 22 appearances. He also picked up an RBI in consecutive games after a stretch where he only had two RBI in his last 14 games. The veteran's slash line sits at a solid .270/.322/.379 but a lack of homers - seven so far - has stunted his fantasy value. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:49 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel earns 23rd save against A’s
Craig Kimbrel recorded his 23rd save Sunday with a scoreless ninth against the A’s.

Advice: Kimbrel has been denied a 10th career All-Star nod, at least for now. His 2.10 ERA seemed worthy, and it’s sort of a surprise that Clay Holmes was picked over him, something that would have been more justifiable a couple of weeks ago. Kimbrel could have and still might become just the 11th pitcher to go to 10 All-Star Games. Clayton Kershaw is the only active pitcher in that club. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:22 pm
    • Jake Burger hits game-winning home run
Jake Burger went 1-for-5 with a game-winning three-run home run in a 7-4 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: With two runners on in a one-run game, the White Sox elected to walk Jesus Sanchez to set up a righty-righty matchup with Michael Kopech against Burger. Burger responded with a 431-foot shot to win the game. It was just his ninth home run of the season after hitting 34 last year, and the 28-year-old may be better off playing for a new team after the trade deadline. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:10 pm

    • Picks up seventh win
Lopez (7-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing no runs on two hits and three walks over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out six.

Advice: Lopez dominated once again with his sixth start of the season with five or more innings and zero runs allowed, tying him with Tarik Skubal for the most such appearances in MLB. Lopez lowered his ERA to an MLB-leading 1.71 in the process. It's tied for the fifth-lowest by an Atlanta player in his first 16 starts of a season since 1912 and the lowest since Tom Glavine in 2002. The 30-year-old is already up to 89.2 innings this season, which is his most since 2019, so his workload will be something to monitor in the second half of the season. • Reynaldo López shuts down Phillies, drops ERA to 1.71
Reynaldo López twirled six shutout innings on Sunday in a 6-0 win over the Phillies. He struck out six batters and walked three en route to the win.

Advice: All López does is keep runs off the board. This was the sixth start this season where he didn’t allow an earned run and he hasn’t allowed more than three in any outing. His fastball filled up the zone and his slider put the Phillies’ hitters away. He is a lock for the All-Star team and it’s a bit shocking the White Sox kept him in the bullpen for as long as they did. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:18 pm

    • Not starting Sunday
Gurriel is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel will hit the bench after making 12 straight starts, and he posted a .320/.333/.600 slash line with seven extra-base hits and 11 RBI during that span. Jake McCarthy will receive a start in left field Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:09 pm
    • On track for activation Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson confirmed Sunday that Schwarber (groin) will be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's series opener versus the Dodgers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After running on the field at approximately 90 percent intensity Saturday, Schwarber cleared the final hurdle in his recovery from a left groin strain by sprinting at full speed during a pregame workout Sunday. The Phillies apparently feel comfortable enough with Schwarber's health to let him return from the IL without heading out on a rehab assignment beforehand. Schwarber has made just three of his 78 starts in left field this season, and the Phillies will most likely deploy him strictly as a designated hitter during the upcoming week to lessen the possibility of a setback with the groin heading into the All-Star break. The 31-year-old's upcoming return will presumably result in fewer opportunities for David Dahl. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:05 pm
