    • Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to injured list
Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports that the Guardians plan to place Steven Kwan (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list prior to Monday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Top prospect Kyle Manzardo will be promoted from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to replace him on the active roster. Kwan exited Saturday’s game against the Angels with tightness in his left hamstring and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the issue. The result of that exam is not yet known, so it’s hard to speculate just how much time the 26-year-old outfielder may stand to miss. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

    • Cooper Criswell lifted with lead in fifth
Cooper Criswell was lifted after allowing one run in 4 1/3 innings Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: The early exit from a 3-1 game denied Criswell a chance for a third straight victory. He allowed five hits, walked one and struck out five while throwing 80 pitches. The Red Sox are getting both Nick Pivetta and Brayan Bello back this week, but Criswell should remain in the rotation for now. He could lose his spot once Garrett Whitlock returns later this month. • Move to IL coming
Kwan will be placed on the injured list Monday, Zack Meisel of The Athleticreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old left Saturday's game due to left hamstring tightness and will now be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. The results of Kwan's MRI aren't yet known, so it's unclear exactly how long he'll be sidelined. Prospect Kyle Manzardo will be joining the Guardians for his first taste of the big leagues in Kwan's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 1:39 pm

    • Faces hitters in live session
Senga (shoulder) completed a 32-pitch live batting practice session Saturday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Facing hitters in extended live BP session marks a major milestone in Senga's recovery from a right posterior shoulder capsule strain, which caused him to miss most of spring training and resulted in him opening the season on the 15-day injured list before he was shifted to the 60-day IL on April 10. He won't be eligible to make his season debut until May 27, but Senga appears on target to return on or around that date based on where he currently stands in his recovery. The Mets will see how he bounces back from Saturday's throwing session over the next couple of days before deciding whether he's ready to report to a minor-league affiliate to begin a rehab assignment, or if he'll need to throw another live BP before doing so. • Steven Kwan undergoing MRI on left hamstring
Steven Kwan underwent an MRI on his left hamstring.

Advice: The Guardians are currently awaiting the results of the imaging before making a roster decision. Kwan left Saturday’s game because of tightness in the hamstring, and he’s not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s finale against the Angels. A trip to the injured list can’t be ruled out, and Zack Meisel of The Athletic suggests that Kyle Manzardo could be a roster replacement if that takes place. Rotoworld Today, 9:05 am

    • Senga (shoulder) throws 32 pitches in live BP
Kodai Senga (shoulder) threw 32 pitches in his live bullpen session Saturday.

Advice: Senga has now faced live hitters twice this week. The Mets will now determine the next steps for the right-hander in the coming days, as they want to see how he responds before deciding when he’ll begin a rehab assignment. There’s a very good chance he does begin that assignment at this point, however, and he’s on track to make his return around May 27 — the earliest Senga can be activated off the 60-day IL. • Steven Kwan out Sunday due to hamstring tightness
Steven Kwan (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Angels.

Advice: Kwan left Saturday with hamstring tightness, and it’s not surprising to see him out of the lineup for the series finale. With the 26-year-old out of action, the Guardians will have Will Brennan play in left field, which Estevan Florial will act as designated hitter and hit in Kwan’s leadoff spot. For now, he should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 8:02 am

    • Won't start Sunday
Kwan (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Kwan is out of the lineup for just the second time all season, with his absence coming as no surprise after he was removed from Saturday's 7-1 win left hamstring tightness. The 26-year-old is slated to undergo an MRI on Sunday, but the Guardians have yet to provide an update on the findings from those tests. Until the team offers more clarity on his status, Kwan should be viewed as day-to-day heading into Cleveland's upcoming seven-game week. Rotowire.com Today, 7:57 am

    • Reaches five innings in rehab start
Woo (elbow) struck out six and allowed three hits and no walks over five shutout innings in his third rehab start Saturday with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Woo was about as sharp as the Mariners could have hoped in what was likely the final start of his rehab assignment, as he built up to 66 pitches (44 strikes) while making quick work of the Triple-A Sacramento lineup. Provided Woo experiences no complications with his right elbow during a bullpen session within the next couple of days, he should be cleared to return from the 15-day injured list to make his 2024 Mariners debut later this week. Emerson Hancock has been filling in as the Mariners' No. 5 starter while Woo has been out, but Seattle could have room in the rotation for both hurlers if George Kirby (knee) is forced to the 15-day IL. Woo is likely to be activated to start either Thursday in Minnesota or Friday at home versus the Athletics. Rotowire.com Today, 7:16 am
