    • Dominates Orioles on Sunday night
Heaney (3-9) got the win Sunday against the Orioles, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out 10 over seven innings.

Advice: Heaney had his most dominant start of the season, compiling double-digit strikeouts for the first time since he had 11 back in August of 2023. Sunday was also just the second time since May 11 that he's managed to not give up a walk. The Orioles pushed runs across in both the second and fourth innings but otherwise did not threaten and Heaney finished strong by striking out the side in the seventh. He's now allowed three earned runs or less in each of his last 12 starts. His record is deceiving due to the fact that the Rangers had scored a total of 30 runs in his first 15 starts this season. The 33-year-old southpaw will carry a 4.04 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 85:22 K:BB (84.2 innings) into a start against the Rays over the weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 1:53 am
    • Effective across 3.1 innings
Dubin threw 3.1 scoreless innings, walking three and striking out two in Sunday's win over the Mets.

Advice: Dubin started a bullpen game for the Astros and turned in his longest outing of the season. Though he didn't generate many strikeouts, he was able to keep the Mets off balance with 12 called strikes on only 55 total pitches. Dubin entered the appearance having given up four earned runs across his last 4.1 innings (three appearances), and he recorded his first scoreless effort since June 12. • Picks up win Sunday
Bivens (2-1) allowed a run on four hits over five innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Bivens rolled through four shutout frames before coughing up a solo shot to Chris Taylor in the fifth inning. Bivens was originally slated to be the opener but ended up delivering the longest outing of his young MLB career by throwing 41 of 60 pitches for strikes. He's allowed one run over his last nine innings, lowering his season ERA to 2.57 alongside a 14:4 K:BB through 14 frames. Bivens will likely move back to the bullpen but could be used as a starter again in the near future. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 pm
    • Implodes again Sunday
Miller allowed five runs on three hits and a walk while retiring just two batters in relief during Sunday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Miller came on in the bottom of the ninth inning with the Tigers up 7-1 but he nearly blew the comfortable lead. The righty hit a batter and gave up a walk before allowing a three-run bomb to Zach Neto. A few batters later, Miller served up a two-run shot to Jo Adell before getting the hook with two outs. Over his last two outings, the veteran reliever has allowed eight earned runs in just 1.2 innings, which has pushed his ERA up to an unsightly 6.23. Miller started the season strong, but he's run into a rough patch and is hard to trust at this point. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:32 pm
    • Tosses two scoreless innings Sunday
Smyly tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Brewers. He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one.

Advice: Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks struggled, allowing seven runs over 3.2 innings, which forced the Cubs to get some long-relief work from Smyly. The veteran had allowed runs in his last two appearances, but he was better Sunday as he lowered his season ERA to 3.54. Hendricks now has a 7.48 ERA, and the Cubs may be forced to remove him from the rotation at some point if he can't turn things around. Smyly, who started 23 games for the team last season, could be an option to slide into that role, though he was ineffective as a starter in 2023 and would be hard to trust from a fantasy perspective. • Andrew Heaney fans 10 in defeating Orioles
Andrew Heaney pitched seven innings of two-run ball and struck out 10 Sunday in a win over the Orioles.

Advice: It’s just Heaney’s second win versus nine losses in 16 starts (he does have one more win from his lone relief appearance). We wouldn’t trust Heaney to finish the year in the rotation of a Rangers team that’s still hoping to get Tyler Mahle, Cody Bradford and Jacob deGrom back from the injured list, but he has a solid enough 4.06 ERA at the moment, and he’s a decent play with a home start against the Rays up next. • Strikes out two in scoreless inning
Kopech struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Sunday against the Rockies. The game was tied at the time, and the White Sox would go on to lose in 14 innings.

Advice: Kopech made his third appearance in four days after recording back-to-back saves June 27 and June 28. The right-hander delivered Sunday, retiring the side in order while striking out two batters on just eight pitches. The 28-year-old now owns a 2.25 ERA with two saves over his past eight innings, solidifying himself as the White Sox's closer. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm
    • Fires two shutout innings
Kinley pitched two shutout innings Sunday against the White Sox, allowing zero hits and one walk while striking out one.

Advice: The 33-year-old worked around the ghost runner in both the 11th and 12th innings, allowing just a single baserunner on an intentional walk. Fellow reliever Jalen Beeks earned the win in the 14th inning, but Kinley remains the preferred closer despite owning an ugly 8.27 ERA on the year. Both relievers will be in the mix for saves moving forward as part of a volatile Rockies bullpen. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:15 pm

    • Tyler Holton steps in to record one-out save
Tyler Holton recorded a one-out save on Sunday against the Angels.

Advice: Holton got the call to record the final out of Sunday’s showdown against the Angels after Shelby Miller unexpectedly melted down in spectacular fashion, nearly blowing a six-run lead by giving up a three-run homer to Zach Neto and a two-run dinger to Jo Adell before being mercifully lifted. Fortunately, Holton was able to come on and strike out Nolan Schanuel to put out the fire and end the contest. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:05 pm
