Tyler Soderstrom hit a solo homer in a blowout loss to the Twins on Saturday.
Advice: Even in a blowout loss, Soderstrom was able to impress as he has for the overwhelming majority of June. What was a slash of .182/.308/.318 coming into the month now sits at .250/.353/.480, and the blast was his sixth homer of the season. Soderstrom was a first-round pick for a reason, and he deserves some attention from those who need help at the corner-infield spot. RotoworldSaturday, 3:43 pm
LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta.
Advice: After making six consecutive starts, LeMahieu will get the night off Saturday. Instead, Oswaldo Cabrera will play third and bat ninth. Rotowire.comSaturday, 1:11 pm
Soderstrom went 2-for-2 with an RBI single, a two-run double, a walk and a run in a win over the Twins on Friday.
Advice: Soderstrom's stellar night at the plate began with a first-inning RBI single that plated Abraham Toro (hamstring) and was followed up by a two-bagger in the fifth that drove home Miguel Andujar and Brent Rooker. The rookie has been on a tear at the plate since early June, producing a .314/.397/.588 slash line with six extra-base hits, 11 RBI and an acceptable 20.7 percent strikeout rate across the 58 plate appearances covering his last 15 games. Josh Naylor went 2-for-4 with a double, single, and two RBI on Friday against the Blue Jays.
Advice: Naylor, known for hitting the ball hard, started the Guardians seven-run second inning with an 11 pitch at-bat that wound up as a cheap double and ended the rally with a dribbler that plated two runs. But hey, that’s baseball. Naylor seems to be heating up with hits in nine of his last 11 games. RotoworldFriday, 6:49 pm
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a loss to the Rangers.
Advice: Alonso gave New York a two-run lead with his blast to center field in the sixth inning, but Texas was able to mount a comeback and pull off the victory. The long ball continued a hot stretch for the first baseman, as he's in the midst of a five-game hitting streak during which he's batted .391 (9-for-23) with two homers and 10 RBI. Alonso is up to 16 home runs and 42 RBI on the campaign along with 42 runs and a .243/.321/.475 slash line. Rotowire.comWednesday, 10:47 pm
Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday against the Rangers.
Advice: The Mets offense was finally held in check after a chaotically-successful week powered by a particular McDonalds’ universe character. Still, Alonso seems to be heating up with a four-game RBI streak. RotoworldWednesday, 7:52 pm
Naylor went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 8-0 win over the Mariners.
Advice: Naylor opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning. He then added a two-run home run in the fifth and a solo homer in the seventh. Naylor has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 10-for-26 with three homers and seven RBI. While Naylor's current .237 average is well below last year's .308 mark, he has a .272 expected batting average and is just one homer shy of tying his career high of 20 in 2022. Josh Naylor went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI on Wednesday.
Advice: Naylor took over this game offensively with a run-scoring single in the first, thunderous home run to break it open in the fifth, and then a solo-shot in the seventh for good measure. He’d been batting under .200 since the start of May after a strong April and knowing how streaky of a hitter Naylor can be, this might be the start of his next hot streak. RotoworldWednesday, 6:10 pm
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.
Advice: The 29-year-old has reached base 10 times in the last four games, with three of his eight hits during that stretch going for extra bases (two doubles and a homer). Alonso is slashing .274/.366/.500 through 15 games in June with three home runs and 13 RBI as he looks to record his third straight 40-homer campaign. He currently has 15 round trippers.
