    Bleday went 1-for-6 with a game-tying two-run home run in an extra-innings win over the Rockies on Thursday.

    Advice: Bleday stepped to the plate in the 11th with the Athletics already having cut a four-point inning-opening deficit in half, and he delivered with a 409-foot shot to center with Abraham Toro aboard to knot the score at 9-9. It was the second consecutive game in which Bleday left the yard, and the clutch homer also extended the outfielder's hitting streak to six games.     Advice: Wendle was released by the Mets earlier this week after hitting just .222/.243/.250 in 37 plate appearances but has quickly caught on with their division rivals. The utility infielder made the All-Star team with the Rays in 2021 but has produced just a .604 OPS in three seasons since then. Wendle will back up all over the infield in Atlanta.     Advice: The 32-year-old has been an everyday player for the Nationals this season between first base and DH, but he's managed just a .234/.299/.299 slash line in 43 games with two homers and 24 RBI. Victor Robles is the more likely candidate to get booted from the 26-man roster to make room for Thomas, but Robles is out of minor-league options and would have to be exposed to waivers, while Meneses could be optioned to Triple-A without any risk of losing him.     Advice: Jacob Young has become the everyday center fielder, and while Eddie Rosario and Jesse Winker have been erratic at the plate, they could have trade value later in the season if they heat up at the right time. That leaves Robles, who doesn't have any minor-league options remaining, as the odd man out in the Nationals' outfield. The 27-year-old has done little to justify keeping him on the 40-man roster though, batting .087 (2-for-23) when he's been healthy in 2024.
